Ash has a college-ready game and was completely dominant today. He’s a rebounding machine on both ends of the ball and is one of the strongest players in the gym. Scored consistently with the drop step move in the paint (even when multiple guards were helping down) and also showed the ability to hit a couple outside shots. Definite scholarship level player.
Ogundijo is relatively new to basketball but has physical tools you just can’t teach. Has an amazing motor and never looks tired even after constant rim running for the entire game. Great nose for the ball and solid instincts on both ends, especially given his experience. Very excited to see how he develops over this year.
Idada is a physical specimen, and if he doesn’t make it in basketball I have to imagine there’ll be a multitude of football coaches looking to recruit him. For his size – 6-foot-6, 225 pounds – Idada is incredibly mobile and light on his feet. He bodies smaller (or larger, although there aren’t many) defenders and can even hit an occasional three.
Julian Kabori
Julian Kabori
Long, 6-foot-10 athlete who has the ability to switch out onto shorter, quicker guards as well as defend larger, stronger players in the post. Can even show a little offensive creation and outside shooting touch if he’s given the opportunity. Really excited to see how Kabori continues to learn his body – he currently holds a D1 offer from University of Rhode Island, and more should be coming in.
Big and strong-bodied post player who is not afraid to mix it up in the paint with other big men. When he gets some room in front of him, he can really elevate and finish with great power – he’s a really solid leaper for his size. Has a D1-ready level body – with an offer from Air Force – and he should be rolling in more offers as a result of his performance this weekend.
Leman is a really interesting stretch big who’s length makes him feel bigger than 6-foot-8. The lefty can stroke it from deep and has some nice finesse moves once he gets into the paint. He moves very well for his size, uses great footwork to score around the rim, and is a smart passer. He’s versatile on both ends and is a very intriguing prospect.
Like Idada, I wouldn’t be surprised if Davis receives some football interest as well. He’s 6-foot-8 with an incredibly strong body and powerful downhill force. He’s also surprisingly light on his feet with solid footwork considering his size and frame. He holds a D1 offer from North Carolina A&T, and I could imagine more coming in soon. Feels like the leader of this talented Cushing squad.
