NEPSAC Showcase at Avon: Day 1 Frontcourt Standouts

Over 100 college coaches from all three levels are in the gym and the talent on hand is special. He displayed some great touch around the rim and I imagine his shooting from the mid-range and three will improve with time. He's a shooter that can stretch the defense and is a really excellent passer with high-level vision and a willingness to get everyone involved. Just a really solid team player with a high basketball IQ. The 6-foot-9 forward combines excellent athleticism, long arms and a quick second-jump, all of which make him a phenomenal rim protector – he also plays with great verticality and discipline. He's still learning how to play offensively, but you never need to run a play for him because he has a nose for the ball and will create his own putbacks. The 6-foot-10 forward has excellent physical tools and a motor to go with it. He can block shots and grab rebounds with ferocity and can finish well above the rim. He has phenomenal strength and is able to overpower similar-sized big men near the hoop. Rose can also step out and hit the occasional three-pointer, showcasing a solid-looking release for someone his size. He has solid touch around the rim and the ability to get by slower big men off the dribble. He can also step out and make shots from the perimeter, making him an intriguing stretch big moving forward.
