Rose, a versatile big out of Vermont Academy in Vermont, makes an appearance in this update at #42. A skilled forward that shows a good feel for the game with the ball in his hands, he has some inside-out scoring ability to his game. He’s got a thicker frame that he uses to his advantage when carving out space as a low post scorer and rebounder, and also shows excellent footwork on the block. He can operate as a decision maker from the top of the key and shows good passing instincts both there and out of double teams. Defensively, he does a good job of walling up in the post and plays with a high motor on the glass.

I really enjoyed watching Rose operate out of the high post as an offensive hub. Like Spinoso, he’s an awesome screen setter and can really pass the ball, especially for his size. But he can also handle it and is a threat on the perimeter. When he gets a mismatch in the post, he has excellent footwork and is able to bully smaller defenders under the hoop for easy layups. If the help comes, he finds shooters on the perimeter with utter ease and comfort. He’s a really excellent forward who should get division one looks as a result of his ability to play within a system and be versatile on both ends. Big, strong, tough and skilled.

Rose was really productive with his play and made an impact on either end of the floor. He promise as a threat to stretch defenses with his shooting. He made nice passes to his teammates. Rose made frequent trips to the charity stripe. He also was no stranger to the glass and found rebounds. Scholarship programs should be knocking down Rose’s door throughout the summer.

Rose was mostly a man amongst boys while engineering Crown’s runaway morning win, showcasing his inside-out versatility as an offensive focal point. The Albany native brings a blend of skill and strength to the frontcourt, serving as a hub for a well-oiled Crown offense while showing effectiveness as both a scorer and facilitator. He was at his best around the rim, whether via the post or operating off the dribble, finishing with power inside while putting back almost any of his misses. He also flashed the ability to step out and keep defenses honest as a shooter from the perimeter. Rose figures to be one of the most productive forwards on the HGSL circuit and should garner further D1 attention with his play throughout the summer.

Rose, who spent his spring and summer playing for City Rocks EYBL, impressed every time he stepped on the floor. While he caught the attention of Prep Hoops at the NEPSAC Showcase, he also left his mark on the EYBL against high level competition. He’s always had a natural feel for the game and a high basketball IQ, but has started to assert himself more in recent months. He’s capable of facing up, making plays off the bounce, and knocking down perimeter jumpers. Defensively, he’s ultra versatile and has shown the ability to guard in the post and on the perimeter while maintaining his ability to rebound the basketball. He’s heard from a bunch of America East and Patriot League schools and could continue to climb the ranks with a solid season at Vermont Academy.

is a big-framed forward who possesses a well-balanced offensive game. He loves to play back to the basket and pushes himself into the paint for easy buckets at the cup. Rose is a strong roll man and finishes well anywhere near the rim with above-average touch. He can also stretch the floor, hitting open catch-and-shoot threes. Rose also displays a strong passing IQ, making quick reads and playing unselfish winning basketball. Defensively, he’s at his best in the paint when deflecting drives and using his body as a deterrent. On top of that, Rose is an excellent rebounder and competes hard at all times. The combination of interior scoring, rebounding, and passing makes him intriguing and should be well-pursued by coaches soon enough.
