What is a Hustle Player? You have never to take a possession off, give full effort, dive on the floor, board up, take charges, get stops on D, sprint, make plays in transition, do the little things, play aggressively, step up to the challenge, positively affect your team, never give up, play inspired ball, recover quickly, be resilient, stay positive, being versatile, accepting your role, being a leader, have a great work ethic, commitment to the team, play with high NRG, play relentless defense, giving 100% in practice, being mentally tough, create TO's, get deflections, take away passing angles, by closing out hard but under control, playing physically, scarping it up, getting jump balls, holding box outs, helping the helper, and many, many others!

[player_tooltip player_id='2399947' first='Andre' last='Austin'] (2025) |6'3 G| Pack & [program_tooltip program_id='2075741' first='ND' last='Phenom']

This young man is a coach's dream, high-level talent with 6th man work ethic! It shows in the huge progression from just a year ago to now. Austin is a walking triple-double and seems to save the scoring part until later in games. He is always looking to get his teammates going by distributing the ball to leading by example and diving head-first for a loose ball. You can tell this young man has been around the game for many years just by his advanced court awareness. Dre does not take breaks, he has great stamina. Austin is a floor general on both sides of the ball and an all-around winner.

[player_tooltip player_id='1641266' first='Ben' last='Erickson'] (2026) |6'2 G| & [player_tooltip player_id='2338066' first='Tristen' last='Bunde'] (2026) |6'2 G| [program_tooltip program_id='2145852' first='SD' last='Identity'] 16U

These guys display what it means to play hard all the time. Tristen takes on the challenge of defending very well and most times the other team's best player. Tristen also rebounds very well. Ben defends with pride/toughness and runs the floor hard, he can also fill up the hoop with scorer's mentality.

[player_tooltip player_id='2430314' first='Caelan' last='Seeley'] (2027) |6'0 SF| [program_tooltip program_id='2222672' first='Sanford' last='Sports Academy'] 15U Grey

He leads team SSA Grey team in charges taken, crashes offensive & defensive boards really well, dives for loose balls, and will always step up to guard the better post players on opposing teams. Seeley often sprints the floor to get easy buckets or to try and stop a fast break on the other end. Caelan is a great teammate and has a nice calm composure about him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1641207' first='Cole' last='Kooiker'] (2026) |5'11 G| [program_tooltip program_id='2145852' first='SD' last='Identity'] 16U

He is an absolute pest on defense! Cole does not let attackers get past, he is tough on the ball. Kooiker causes all sorts of problems on the defensive side of the floor, he has also shot it hot this spring. Cole plays the game insanely hard!

[player_tooltip player_id='2443012' first='Darieon' last='Smith Jr.'] (2028) |5'11 PF| [program_tooltip program_id='2222672' first='Sanford' last='Sports Academy'] 14U White

Smith is a high-energy do-it-all without-the-ball type of player! Darieon defends at a high level and will dive on the floor or run through a brick wall if needed. He is no stranger to hustle-run-down blocks, these types of plays have been a huge part of his overall excellence this club season. Smith guards positions 1-5 at 5'11" and has taken 6 charges in the spring season!!!

[player_tooltip player_id='1845252' first='Gunnar' last='Jost'] (2026) |5'10 G| [program_tooltip program_id='2075723' first='ND' last='Attack'] 16U Green

He has always provides a spark offensively by hitting outside shots. Jost has found a way to give the defense energy as well. Gunnar, does his damage defensively from the help side. He reads the floor well and is a great help defender. Jost gets himself in a position to get a steal or a charge. Gunnar is a scrappy player, never backs down, and is a key defensive player for [program_tooltip program_id='2075723' first='ND' last='Attack'].

[player_tooltip player_id='2430308' first='Holdyn' last='Ruesink'] (2027) |5'10 SF| [program_tooltip program_id='2222672' first='Sanford' last='Sports Academy'] 15U Grey

He is not afraid to dive on the floor for a loose ball or step up to guard the other team's best players whether it's a post or guard. Ruesink always seems to get his hand on the ball to force a turnover and always offers his hand to any player who is on the ground. Talk about a great teammate! Holdyn understands his role really well and brings great energy to the team.

Jacob Andrew (2024) |6'4 G| Pack

Mr. Andrew is quiet-killa. He does not say much and never complains. His hard work makes more than enough noise. Andrew is versatile, he can defend multiple positions. On offense, he is willing to play inside or out. Jacob plays with nonstop energy, is always in help side, and is ready to battle on the block. He wants the ball but does not need it to make an impact on the game. He has great size/length and a smooth J. Jacob is a great teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1641566' first='Jhace' last='Woods'] (2026) |6'3 SF| [program_tooltip program_id='2222672' first='Sanford' last='Sports Academy'] 16U UA Black

You never have to worry about his effort. Woods is a 2-way baller, a D-stopper, a ballhawk, a vacuum rebounder, and an electric finisher. Jhace has exceptional hands and always comes down with the ball when surrounded by the opposition. He is quick to put the D on a poster, rebounds over opponents, runs the floor like a fleet-footed sprinter, and is an unselfish passer. Woods gets deflections, steals, and is quick to sacrifice his body to save a ball from going out of bounds. Jhace will catch your eye with his explosive athleticism, dunks, blocks, but also makes the selfless play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2443041' first='Owen' last='Kruse'] (2028) |5'10 SF| [program_tooltip program_id='2222672' first='Sanford' last='Sports Academy'] 14U White

Owen is an undersized 4/5 forward who defends with high effort, energy, and grit. There is no such thing as a loose ball around him because Owen is going to get his hands on the rock. Kruse & Smith are the heart and soul of their team!

[player_tooltip player_id='1511062' first='Rocklin' last='Beaudrie'] (2026) |5'10 G| [program_tooltip program_id='2075723' first='ND' last='Attack'] 16U Green

He has battled all spring and has been a sparkplug for [program_tooltip program_id='2075723' first='ND' last='Attack']. Rocklin is a very good on-ball defender as he takes pride in his defense and knows that playing tough D is his role on the team. Beaudrie is great at getting his body in front of the ball, taking charges, and disrupting the opposing player. Rocklin brings non-stop energy to the floor and bench. He is constantly communicating with his teammates on the floor whether he is in the game or taking a breather on the bench. Beaudrie never takes a play off and provides tremendous energy to [program_tooltip program_id='2075723' first='ND' last='Attack'].

[player_tooltip player_id='2132570' first='Sullivan' last='Kieffer'] (2027) |5'11 G| [program_tooltip program_id='2222672' first='Sanford' last='Sports Academy'] 16U White

This youthful comet has basketball in his blood and is a quality athlete. Sully is also a hard-nosed ball player on both ends. He does great work on defense and has no problem putting up points. Kieffer is quick, fast, and explosive. Sully is a game-changer for this SSA squad.
