A new name for me, King comes over from Firestone to add to Buchtel's young core that's filled with 2027 and 2028 prospects. This 2026 wing has a good build and was impactful on both ends of the court. The first play he made was blocking a shot and taking it coast to coast with a euro-step finish at the other end. Scoring at will in the paint, when King was able to set himself square to the rim on drives he was tough to stop. Also flashing a little perimeter shooting ability, King looks like a name to know around the Akron area heading into the winter where Buchtel will look to establish themselves as a force after winning the 2023 state title.

Playing without [player_tooltip player_id='1525663' first='Brady' last='Koehler'], Indy Cathedral needed some other guys to step up on Saturday. Aldridge was the most productive player on the floor in both games I caught of the Irish. An undersized wing forward who competes on both ends, Aldridge was simply playing harder than everybody else on the court. Whether it was getting second chance points, running in transition or fearlessly attacking the rim, Aldridge was competing and making plays. This is a prime example of a player who will flat out help you win high school basketball games, whether they are played in June, December or March.

One of the top guards in Michigan's 2027 class, it was easy to see why Hall appears so high in the Prep Hoops Michigan rankings. An elite passer, when Hall got a step and drew help his dump off pass was already to the big sitting at the dunker spot before the defense could react. Just a great sense of feel and timing on when to distribute to his teammates, I was really impressed with Hall's passing and basketball IQ. The lefty guard also knocked down some shots from the perimeter early with a corner 3 and some floaters when the defense forced him to become a scorer instead of a passer as a driver. Hall is going to be a name that will soon make waves across the Midwest and not just locally in Michigan.

This was the first time I got to watch Denny in person and he played how I expected after already seeing some highlights and looking at his freshman year stats where he was one of the top 2027 scorers across Ohio. With range that stretches out 5+ feet behind the 3-point line, Denny is a threat to fire from just about anywhere. Very skilled with the ball in his hands, Denny can create pull-up jumpers or get to the rim off the bounce in isolation or with a high screen in the pick and roll. When Denny forces help from the defense he isn't afraid to kickout to a shooter. A score first combo guard who also will punish the defense if they make him a passer. I liked what I saw from Denny and expect him to rack up the points for Valley View over the next three seasons.

Another 2027 from Valley View that southwest Ohio basketball fans need to know about, Fritz is a wing forward who can do a variety of things on the court. With good size, Fritz was active on the glass and has the frame to continue to put on muscle as his body matures. With nice touch on mid-range and 3-point shots, Fritz will make the defense pay if you let him set his feet and fire away. Very excited to see Fritz and Denny grow together, this duo will be one of the most exciting small-town duos over the next three seasons in Ohio.
