Dickau is a solid, fundamental point guard who put on an all-around offensive performance this past weekend. He was precise by the hoop, using rondo’s, two-foot finishes, and both hands to finish by the hoop. He showed off good awareness to capitalize on out of position defenders, and even looked pretty good behind the arc. He’s a guy that will play a big role for the Wildcats this winter and looks ready to run the show.
Bennett keeps putting in the work to get better and has evolved into a point guard who makes consistently good decisions but can also score the rock at a better rate. His outside shot has come along nicely and he was really gelling with teammates this past weekend to find guys in good spots. He’s a guy who can control the game from the top on both ends and will be a key guy once again for Emerald Ridge.

Nagel was really poised with the ball this weekend and was a constant competitor on both ends. He sees the floor well, made a handful of tight-fitting passes for assists, and was always making himself available to teammates in tough spots. He shot the 3 well too, and is a kid who continually gives the impression of a solid two-way collegiate guard.

Mentink has been pretty solid running point at times this spring and showed up again this weekend to help spur Auburn on to a big win against Camas. He brings energy on both ends, got several deflections and forced turnovers on defense, and looks a little bit more confident and quick to react out there. When it was time to really turn it up when they were down late in the game, Mentink helped apply pressure and get the Trojans the win.
He was one of the quickest guards on display at the Shootout and it was extremely tough for defenders to stay in front of him. He was drawing fouls on drives, beating his man to gaps, and forcing multiple defenders to close in. He helped Grandview play at a fast pace in the halfcourt and was a big reason they moved the ball so well to find open shots.
Vanvoorhis is a guy you can count on to break down his man and get to the rim, and this weekend he showed off some excellent passing off those drives. He was quick to recognize help defenders stepping up and had several dump-offs and slick passes in tight spaces for assists. He played well in the pick and roll or pick and pop to find his versatile bigs, and stayed ready to attack himself, putting pressure on defenses in multiple ways.
