The 2025 rankings update is here with nearly 245 players ranked in the update. The wing group has the potential to have a strong summer with their ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor. Here are the 2025 small forwards to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1483440' first='Declan' last='Wucherpfennig'], 6'7 Bergen Catholic

Wucherpfennig has the potential to play either the three or the four, making him one of the more intriguing prospects in the class. The 6'7 forward attacks the basket strong as he can finish above the rim and is unafraid of contact. Wucherpfennig sets his feet before he shoots and can knock down jumpers from behind the arc. He works for rebounds on both ends of the floor and influences shots around the basket. Wucherpfennig is a talented forward prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1823214' first='Shelton' last='Colwell'], 6'5 Arts

Colwell has the ability to play on both the interior and perimeter, which helps his development in a big way. The 6'5 forward has a good first step , which he uses to get to the rim and finishes nicely around the basket. Colwell wastes little motion in his release and shoots the ball with confidence behind the arc. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and slides his feet on the defensive end. Colwell is a hard-working forward prospect whose ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor will help his stock in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411644' first='Z'yaire' last='Simmons'], 6'5 Paterson Kennedy

Simmons is a versatile wing prospect, which makes him a prospect to track in the 2025 class. The 6'5 forward uses his handle to get to this spot on the floor and uses his size to see over his defender. Simmons finishes well above the rim and can also score in the mid-range. He uses his length to get deflections on defense and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Simmons' versatility is something that makes him one to watch over the course of the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2339154' first='Isaiah' last='Thomas'], 6'4 Paul VI

Thomas has the potential to play in the backcourt as well and should put it on display this summer. The 6'4 wing has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and finish around the basket. Thomas rarely gets sped up by on-ball pressure and can find his open teammates in the halfcourt. He moves his feet on the defensive end and moves well without the ball in his hands. Thomas' ability to make plays with the ball in his hands should allow for him to make noise over the next couple of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2339148' first='Avery' last='Headley'], 6'8 St. Benedict's

Headley is an intriguing prospect to watch due to his combination of size and length. The 6'8 forward knows how to finish above the rim and is able to draw contact in the paint. Headley is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can make opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is a strong rebounder. Headley has the chance to breakout this summer with his ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor.
