Colwell is an athletic forward who causes mismatch problems because of his size and strength. He shows some flashes as a perimeter shot-maker and if defenses don’t respect him, he can make them pay. Colwell can guard multiple positions and has no problem switching. He puts himself in good spots to get rebounds.

lived around the rim as he yet again showed his ability to not only finish around the rim with both hands but finish through contact as well. Colwell also excelled running the lanes in transition, as he was able to get a couple finishes at the rim simply off just running hard down the floor.

is a strong and versatile wing that contributes on both sides of the ball. Colwell uses his physicality and strength to finish well through around the rim. Colwell is also an excellent area rebounder as he just seems to live on the offensive glass every night. Over the last couple years, Colwell’s perimeter skillset has seen a continuous and steady improvement. Not only is he a guy that defenses have to respect from the three point line but he’s become more and more comfortable putting the ball on the floor and creating offense for himself.
A strong senior campaign for Colwell as Arts’ main guy could see his stock continue to rise after a strong spring and summer that saw him put up big performances with the NJ Panthers on the HGSL circuit.

Colwell is a patient player who lets his shots come within the flow of an offense. He does not search for his shots and when he is given the ball he usually takes high-quality open looks. He can get to the rim with ease and can throw the ball down over taller players in the paint. He likes to seek contact on his way to the rim while using his athleticism to hang in the air longer than normal. Colwell has a nice shot from downtown that needs very little room to get it off.
