Expert Analysis
Tom Keller | Prep Hoops Scout
Freeman who is a bit of a tweener can play inside and out with his offensive versatility. He does a good job on the interior finding rebounds and finishing around the paint. He shows some flashes from the perimeter by stretching the floor. He can guard multiple positions and is a versatile defender. Freeman is effective in the open floor and can operate in transition.

brings value on the offensive end as a guy that does a little bit of everything to impact winning on the floor. Freeman is a guy that can knock down open shots, handle the ball in the open floor, make the right decisions, guard multiple positions, as well as be active on the glass and rebound the basketball.
With a skillset that brings a lot of value to the game and that impacts winning on both ends, look for Freeman’s stock to only rise as a nice connective piece for Arts throughout his senior season.

Freeman is having his best season as a junior with his scoring, rebounding, and steals up a significant amount. The 3-and-D small forward can create spacing for his teammates by simply being an elite threat from the three-point line. He has a quick shot and gets it off over any defense. His defense is excellent as Freeman standing at 6’5″ can guard multiple positions and has quick feet when moving laterally allowing him to switch quickly. His quick hands in getting after the ball are how he is averaging a near 2 steals per game.

Freeman is an excellent 3-and-D player who can do multiple different things to help his team win. His three-point shooting ability is how he creates space for his team for driving lanes. Freeman will look to get his shots from the perimeter off the catch-and-shoot. He is patient in waiting to find the best shot possible for each possession. On defense, he can guard anyone on the perimeter using his quick timing to poke the ball free from offensive players. He moves laterally well and can keep up with most quick players.

Freeman has all of the makings of a player who looks to take a huge leap going into his junior year. He has great size already at the SF position being 6’5″. Freeman can read the passing lanes of other teams well, leading to many transition opportunities for his team. He rebounds at a solid rate while being able to score in the paint at will. If Freeman can develop a consistent three-point shot he will no doubt have a breakout year for the Jaguars next year.
