2024 Grand Park Summer Slam All Tournament Team 2029

The class of 2029 showed up in the town of Westfield, Indiana and showed out for all to see. These players and their basketball talents made them worthy of being All Tournament players.    Eric is a tough little guard who plays the game with a lot of heart. He is very skilled at the game of basketball and it showed over the weekend. Excellent ball handler who has the capabilities of playing both guard positions. Great passer who had many assists that were flashy but effective. Awesome scorer who had no problems getting by defenders and attacking the basket. He also showed the ability of being a knock down shooter from both mid and long range. Good defender who makes it tough on opposing guards. Eric was a really fun player to watch and I look forward to keeping up with his progression. If he is already this good at his size now.. imagine when he grows even more. Scary!!!     Parker is a excellent offensive player who can score from all over court. A great ball handler who has the ability to get around defenders and attack the basket for easy scores. Good passer who often made plays that lead to positive results for his teammates. Tough guard who didn't mind attacking the glass and grabbing rebounds regardless of his stature. Parker also showed a strong ability of shooting over the weekend, often knocking down long or mid-range shots. He is a very good defender who showed a knack for playing passing lanes and forcing turnovers. I saw a complete player over the weekend who proved the sky's the limit with how great he can be.     Zach displayed the ability to play both inside and outside the painted area. He has good post moves along with the ability of making shots from both long and mid-range. He can bring the ball up court under control and grab rebounds on offense and defense. Seamlessly works well on offense getting to his spots for open looks. Sets good picks and screens that allowed teammates to be more efficient on the offensive side of the floor. Good interior post defender who had no issues boxing out and grabbing defensive rebounds. Zach is very knowledgeable in regards to protecting the painted area. He showed the ability of defending opposing post players and challenging guards without generating many fouls. This young man is a very skilled player who will continue to grow and become an even bigger problem for opposing players and coaches.     Joey is an excellent scorer who has the capability of making long or mid-range shots. He displayed the ability to create his own shots with side and step back jumpers and three point shots. In isolation situations, he showed the ability to create off the dribble and get to the basket for easy scores. Combo guard who has the skill to run the offense as a facilitator or be the number scoring option. Loves attacking opposing defenders with blow by moves, creating for himself or teammates. Can score the ball in fast breaking situations and play great man on man defense which often lead to turnovers by opposing guards. Joey is the type of player who lets the game come to him. He plays at his own pace and communicates with his team on both sides of the ball. I'm looking forward to keeping track of his progress through middle and high school.     Matthew is a heady point guard who looks to get teammates involved on the offensive side of the ball. He has a nice mid-range game and has no problem getting to the basket when necessary. A very dangerous three point shooter when left alone. What I saw over the weekend is a prototypical floor general who lead his team in every facet, as it pertained to making the offense go. Excellent passer who used the dribble drive to find teammates for positive outcomes. Lead the team in assists and made key steals on the defensive side of the court. I loved the leadership skills Matthew showed on the basketball court! Succeeding in middle school and later on.. high school will not be an issue for this young man.       Dilraj showed the ability to score inside and outside the painted area. He displayed great moves in the post, often using pump fakes and good footwork to score. Had no problem making jump shots outside of 15 feet and occasionally beyond. Good ball handler who can bring the ball up court under control at his size. He is really good at grabbing offensive rebounds and scoring easy put backs. Sets good picks and screens that allowed teammates to be efficient on offense. Dilraj is an excellent shot blocker to go along with being a good scorer. I witnessed him block at least five shots in a game over the weekend. He has excellent timing on his jumps which allow him to be so effective on the defensive end of the floor. With his continued growth over the next few seasons.. He will be a very successful players for years to come.
