SWFL 2026’s To Keep An Eye On This Summer, First Five

affects the game on both ends of the court.  Reyes plays the game fast but under control and is a true competitor each time he steps on the floor.  He has a quick first step and likes to attack the basket, but can also pull up from mid-range and knock down shots consistently.  Keep an eye on Reyes as he continues to grow his game and become an all-around prospect is a gym rat who's always working on his game, whether getting reps on the court or getting stronger in the weight room, Santa continues to push himself.  He is a strong bodied guard/forward who has the size and ability to guard any position, and is a huge asset on the boards.  His wide-frame and strength create mismatch problems for opposing defenses, and he has the ability to score in the paint while absorbing contact and getting to the line.  Santa can also hurt you from the outside where he is an above-average 3-point shooter.  He is a great two-way player who plays the game with emotion.  Look for this prospect to trend upward as he continues to fine tune his really turned some heads in his first year with Golden Gate.  The 6'4u0022 CG is a tremendous rebounder from the guard position and his size allows him to guard multiple positions.  He has a strong knowledge of the game and looks to score first, but also has great court vision, where he looks to get his teammates involved.  He has a smooth stroke where he shoots the 3-ball at a very high rate, and is also a knock down free-throw shooter.  This kid has a high motor and plays the game hard, keep an eye on him as he continues to grow his skillset as one of the top scorers in the prospect had a tremendous sophomore year and really made a name for himself not just locally, but throughout the entire state.  Newson is a quick, shifty guard who plays the game fast but under control.  He has excellent handles and an explosive first step where he likes to get to the basket and finish at the rim.  He scores on all 3-levels, with a soft-touch on his jumper, and a much improved 3-point game.  He's not just a scorer though, he has a very high basketball IQ to go along with great court vision, making him a true floor general whenever he steps on the court.  Newson continues to rise through the Florida ranks, and looks to be known on the national stage by summer's is a tremendous athlete who plays the game with both heart and hustle.  You can tell he just loves the game and has fun each and every time he takes the floor.  Jones can do it all offensively, he has great handles and can beat you off the dribble and get to the rim, knock down that mid-range jumper, or hurt you from deep where he shoots it from behind-the-arc at a very high rate.  Defensively, the 6'2u0022 CG will pressure you for 94ft and just be in your face for the entire possession.  He is a great rebounder from the guard position and looks to get out in run, where he is an excellent transition player.  Keep on eye on Jones this summer and into next season where he looks to become a mainstay in the Tarpon's
