From Hampton, Virginia to Indianapolis, Indiana to Cincinnati, Ohio and many more locations, grassroots teams from southeastern Pennsylvania took the court to face elite competition as hundreds of college coaches looked on.
Below is a review of SEPA prospects who impressed at the various tournaments held during the most recent “live period.”
Gage Cunningham Gage Cunningham 6'3" | SG Episcopal Academy | 2027 State PA – 6’3” / 2027 / Episcopal Academy / Philly Pride UAA / Shooting Guard: At UAA Session III (OH) this speedy and athletic guard posted 11 points per game. He registered a tourney high 16 points (1 3PM) against Pro One. Cunningham’s quick first step and creative dribbles get him into the paint for floaters and lay-ins. If Cunningham enters the lane and the opposing defense collapses on him, he can also execute kick out passes to open shooters. Cunningham’s jumper must be respected as well because he can hit shots from anywhere on the floor.
Matthew McField Matthew McField 5'10" | CG Carver-Engineering and Sciences | 2026 State PA – 5’10” / 2026 / Carver-Engineering & Sciences / Mt. Pleasant Bulldogs / Combo Guard: This ultra-quick guard with tight handles put on a show at the MADE Hoops DMV Live tourney. Over this past weekend, Fields averaged 15 points, 4.5 assists and 3 rebounds per contest. He produced most of his buckets off the bounce or in transition. But make no mistake, Fields can splash threes. Plus, McField is a tenacious on ball defender who excels at picking pockets (3.5 steals ppg.).
Will Riley Will Riley 6'7" | SF Phelps School | 2025 State #29 Nation PA – 6’9″ / 2025 / Phelps School / UPlay Canada / Wing: Our No. 1 ranked 2025 prospect tore up the competition at EYBL Session III (IN). Riley was named the MVP of that EYBL event after he averaged 25.8 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists per game. His 42-points and 5 assists performance sent shock waves across the circuit. In that game, Riley was 5 for 5 from behind the arc and 15 of 16 overall from the field. Last month Riley (2023-24 Non-PIAA State POY) trimmed his list of future destinations to Kentucky, Arizona, Alabama, and Arkansas as well as the NBL in Australia.
Kevin Saenz Kevin Saenz 6'3" | SF Exeter | 2024 State PA – 6’4” / 2025 / Spire Institute (OH) / PA Coalition / Shooting Guard: The former Exeter standout just announced that he will take a post graduate year at Spire. Then Saenz then went out and posted a fantastic weekend at the Southern Jam Fest (VA). This long and athletic wing was a transition phenom and scored at every level in the half court. His 17 points (1 3PM) and 7 dimes performance vs. Higher Level was extraordinary. Saenz’s outstanding play this past weekend helped push PAC 17s to a 3-1 record.
