Nate has been putting together a solid spring running with Minnesota Heat Academic. At 6’6 he can play on the wing or as more of a stretch-four. Moves fluidly with his long and lanky 6’6 frame, and is comfortable handling out on the perimeter. Three point shooting threat who is going to force opposing wings and forwards to defend him out beyond the arc. Nate puts his length to use on the defensive end, impressing as a rebounder and a shot blocker in the game I watched on Saturday.

I caught Drew running with LVL Basketball in the event’s opening game on Friday night, and it didn’t take long for him to impress. Early in the game he cut backdoor for an alley-oop dunk, and within the next few minutes added a couple more transition finishes. At 6’3 he’s a strong and athletic slasher who excelled at getting to the rim and finishing in traffic. Over the weekend he averaged just under 20 ppg helping lead his team to a 3-1 record.

Parker is a big time shooter out on the wing for North Dakota Phenom. Listed at 6’6 he has good positional size, and is capable of lighting it up from beyond the arc. Does a great job of getting his feet set off the move allowing him to quickly catch and get a shot off when the ball comes his way. Has the type of consistent release that makes you think every shot he gets off is going in. Throughout the weekend he shot an impressive 19-41 from beyond the arc, and just a couple of days later he picked up an offer from the University of Mary.
York had a solid showing for NBN on Sunday. At 6’3 he has a long wingspan and plays bigger than his size due to his toughness. Spent time defending in the post and holding his ground against bigger forwards, but was also capable of moving his feet out on the perimeter. Offensively he handled it well in the open floor, could beat his man baseline off the dribble, wasn’t afraid to battle for low-post position before finishing with his left hand. Added an additional rebounding presence inside for his NBN team.
Eddie Marx provided a three point shooting option out on the wing for Northern Kentucky Legends. The lefty guard has a quick and confident release to get his shot off before a defender can close out on him. Did a nice job of relocating off the ball, providing angles for kickout passes when his point guard penetrated the lane. Helped lead his team to a 3-1 record over the weekend.
Highlights
Conor got going when his team needed him most on Saturday. In a tight matchup, Conor came alive in the second half, putting up a quick 5 points with a three and a strong finish inside to give his team a boost of momentum. Was also coming up with some stops defensively with his high effort play. Provided a strong 3&D presence all weekend long helping lead his team to an undefeated record.
Highlights
Keegan helped his Wisconsin Crusaders team rack up a 3-1 record over the weekend, utilizing his versatile scoring ability on the wing. At 6’3 he has a long frame and high release point making his shot difficult to contest, and he’s capable of getting into a mid-range pull-up just about any time he wants to. He has great spatial awareness to recognize which way to attack, and how to get his defender leaning one way before attacking the opposite direction. Very good at getting into the lane, playing off two feet, and knocking down turnaround jumpers. Keegan continues to produce at a high level just about every time I watch him play.
