In the second half of the game I watched he came out dominating the paint, recording two strong finishes inside and a pair of blocks within just a few minutes. At 6'5 he has a strong frame to finish through some contact, but also flashed impressive footwork to create open looks around the basket. Type of player who can step out and hit the open three as well, keeping his defender honest. He's an imposing physical presence, and it showed against [program_tooltip program_id='2076027' first='Wisconsin' last='Blizzard'] as he backed his man right under the rim before elevating and throwing down a dunk right over him. Defensively he's quicker off the floor than he may look, which makes him a good rim protector as he can slide into position and elevate to block a shot. Met an explosive 6'7 forward at the rim for a highlight block against Power 5, and sent a few more shots flying off the court throughout the weekend. He threw down a pair of transition dunks that were earned almost entirely from his effort. He has some strength and length inside at 6'6, and he was using hit to swallow up rebounds on both ends of the floor. He's a strong rebounder inside, and is a capable finisher through contact. Also a standout tight end during the fall, Jacob showed good hands to catch in traffic before powering his way to the rim. In a pair of wins on Saturday, Devin was throwing down explosive dunks and powering his way to the basket to finish over size. Does a great job of playing off of two feet which allows him to get guys in the air with a shot fake, while also allowing him to go up balanced to play through contact. Does the bulk of his damage in the paint, but is a capable shooter when given space. He was always fighting to create angles for his guards to enter the ball to him, and once he caught it he simply had to power his way up to finish. Wasn't backing down from the 6'8 and 6'11 bigs on Wisconsin PGC, and even threw down a two handed dunk over a defender in that game. His combination of size, footwork, and touch around the rim make him tough to stop when isolated on the block. In the game I watched, he showcased the ability to just bully his way to the basket, or utilize a variety of post moves to create angles to finish. Comfortable turning over either shoulder to finish with his right or left hand. On the defensive end if he got even a finger on a missed shot, he was going to come away with possession for his team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
