Mondes does a great job of establishing deep position on the block, so when the ball comes his way he’s already won the battle. He was always fighting to create angles for his guards to enter the ball to him, and once he caught it he simply had to power his way up to finish. Wasn’t backing down from the 6’8 and 6’11 bigs on Wisconsin PGC, and even threw down a two handed dunk over a defender in that game. Mondes put together a productive weekend against tough competition.

Mondes provided a physical presence inside for Wisconsin Blizzard . Against Pride Roc he was doing a great job of using his frame to create angles for easy entry passes, and from there he was powering his way to the rim for high percentage looks. He did a great job of utilizing his strength to win the battle off the ball, which made it that much easier to score once he got a touch inside. Against Wisconsin PGC he was battling against a 6’11 big all game long, and that effort on the glass and protecting the basket helped them take the game down to the wire.
