Maddox stands at 6’7” and has a versatile skill set for his size. He made his presence felt in the paint on both sides of the ball, being able to alter opponents shots and fight through contact on offense. He is a good rebounder, being able to position himself well when the ball comes off the rim. Cornette also connected with several triples in the second half, which impressed me the most. He was a big time threat off the ball for teammates to find down the stretch in a tight win.

Bay Port will have a nice group of wings/forwards this winter, and anchoring the post will be Maddox. He’s still a bit raw offensively, but was possibly the best shot blocker I saw all weekend as he was constantly making an impact on the defensive end. Has good size at 6’7 and is quick on his feet to slide into good help-side position under the basket. He elevates very quick which allows him to stay on the ground until the offensive player elevates, meaning he’ll rarely get caught off guard with a shot fake. Elevates straight up like a volleyball player to avoid fouling and with his length was able to send countless shots right back to where they came from.
