Let’s take a look at some more of the notable players and performances from the Great Lakes Warriorz Spring Shootout.
The strength and frame are there. So is the ability to handle the ball, attack the rim and score from multiple levels. While he averaged almost 18 points per game at the event, it was his leadership and willingness to shoulder a load for his team that really stuck out. Calhoun is thriving with the Midwest Stampede this spring.

Davon Ciesiolka
Ciesiolka stood out for the eventual champion Eastside Gators 2025 team. His versatility really stood out on Saturday. Ciesiolka showed the ability to effectively play and defend multiple positions. He was ready to play any role, from primary ball handler to rim protector.
Feeney has been catching some eyes so far this grassroots season and that continued again in Novi. Two traits ruled the day for this talented guard. The first was his speed. Feeney can fly up and down the floor. The second was his willingness to share the ball and do his best to get his team good looks at the rim.

Diego Cantu
Diego Cantu
Cantu is a player that scouts and coaches should become very aware of. He’s a high IQ player that is so efficient with the ball. Cantu makes the right pass at the right time and will score at a high percentage when a good shot is there. He has a high basketball IQ and has the versatility to play on or off the ball.
VanWagner showed us why he’s a highly ranked post player in Michigan. He did a good job of using his frame and strength on both ends of the floor. VanWagner was aggressive on the glass and used power to gain position. He was one of the better, if not the best, rim protectors at the Spring Shoot Out.
Highlights
Gugle is a tremendous talent that was turning heads this weekend. He showed an willingness to play both ends of the floor and to find open shooters and hit them with a pinpoint pass. Gugle has next level athleticism and basketball IQ. He’s an unselfish player, coachable and will be a great addition to a program at the next level.
