This is the second time in a year when I’ve watched Cantu play and his defense stood out. He really grinds defensively on the perimeter. Nothing flashy, just a low base, quick feet and a stop.

Cantu will be a guard to keep an eye on this weekend at the Michigan State Tournament. He’s a highly efficient guard that has the ability to make the right decision with the ball. Cantu is a high IQ passer that will bury a jumper if the defense steps back.

Cantu is a player that I’ve been familiar with for a long time. He’s always been a high IQ player that puts the team first. Well, he’s still that type of player. Cantu can handle the ball and shoot at a high level. That being said, he swings the ball and doesn’t over dribble and also recognized good looks at the rim.
