The final day of session 3 was as good as the first two. Here are my five standouts:

[player_tooltip player_id='1411663' first='Torrey' last='Brooks'] Jr | 2026 NJ Scholars 16U

Leading Scholars to two wins on Sunday, Brooks Jr orchestrated their offense like a maestro. He followed his 22 points versus Paul George Elite with 19 points and 10 assists against the Oakland Soldiers. His silky handle got everything going for them. With the ball on a string, he turned seemingly every paint touch into two points, a trip to the free throw line (6/7 ft), or a kick out to someone else for three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1432014' first='Jerry' last='Easter II'] | 2025 [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] 17U

In a tight game against Team Griffin, the fourth quarter belonged to Easter II. He deliberately got to the cup, using his strength to put his man on his hip and create angles to finish or dish the ball to the open man. At 6'4, Easter II also overwhelmed opposing guards at the point-of-attack, coming up with 2 steals. He was clutch, with 10 of his 23 points and 4 of his 7 assists coming in the final period.

[player_tooltip player_id='2235863' first='Matt' last='Gilhool'] | 2025 [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] 17U

Gilhool started off the game trying to put defenders on a poster, ferociously attacking the rim with cuts and drives. That aggression resulted in his first 5 points coming at the foul line. In the high-scoring affair, he was assertive on defense as well. Gilhool altered shots around the basket and cleaned the glass to close out possessions down the stretch. Finally, he finished the game how he began, at the rim and the charity stripe, totaling 17 points (9/12 ft), 11 rebounds, 2 steals & 3 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406792' first='Zaahir' last='Muhammad-Gray'] | 2026 [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] 16U

Final 16s finished the weekend on a high note, winning the E16 Silver chip with a big help from Muhammad-Gray's unselfish, two-way contribution. The 6'5 wing operated as a passing hub, generating open looks for teammates on dribble handoffs and hitting cutters from the high post. He crashed the boards for a couple putbacks, knocked down a three, and walled off drivers on defense. Muhammad-Gray finished with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and a steal.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194964' first='Nolan' last='Nelson'] | 2027 Jet Academy 15U

Nelson wore down [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] with his size and strength in the low post. Only listed at 6'7, he was a battering ram on post-ups and when he set screens. Defensively, he had 2 blocks, but it felt like more because of how effectively he contested shots and made it difficult for the opposing guards to finish over or around him. The contact he dished out accumulated over the course of the game as he tallied 19 points & 12 boards.
