Evaluating them while deciding who has separated themselves from that pack or should move to another group. You hear it a lot in NFL and NBA Draft talks as Cluster Busters! We do our own version of that here in Cluster Busters: Class of 2025 Pt 2!
Alexander Vincent Alexander Vincent 6'8" | C OPRF | 2025 State IL (OPRF), Savion Mitchell Savion Mitchell 6'6" | PF Belleville East | 2025 State IL (Belleville East), Jonas Johnson Jonas Johnson 6'6" | PF DePaul Prep | 2025 State IL (DePaul Prep), Anton Strelnikov (Lake Zurich)
This is a group of big men that bring versatility. Vincent is the true center of the group with his scoring around the hoop and shot blocking. The other three are comfortable stretching the floor.
Tyler Smith Tyler Smith 6'3" | SG Wheaton Academy | 2025 State IL (Wheaton Academy), Samuel Hirsch Samuel Hirsch 6'3" | SG Fremd | 2025 State IL (Fremd), Caleb Lindsey Caleb Lindsey 6'5" | SF St. Laurence | 2025 State IL (St. Laurence), Desean Patton (Oswego)
This is what I would call the rock solid wing group. You know what you are getting. They have specific skills that will translate to the next level.
Vincas Buzelis Vincas Buzelis 6'5" | SF Hinsdale Central | 2025 State IL (Hinsdale Central), Arden Eaves Arden Eaves 6'5" | SF Thornwood | 2025 State IL (Thornwood), Arlandis Brown Arlandis Brown 6'4" | SF East St. Louis | 2025 State IL (East St. Louis), Zack Sharkey Zack Sharkey 6'3" | SG Marian Catholic | 2025 State IL (Marian Catholic)
On the other hand this is the pure upside wing tier. It wouldn’t shock me to see one of these four move from where they are now to inside the top 30 by the end of the summer.
Matt Callahan (Nazareth), Navaeh Hawkins (St. Patrick), Jaylen Ingram Jaylen Ingram 6'8" | C Hillcrest | 2025 State IL (Hillcrest), Adam Walker Adam Walker 6'11" | C Romeoville | 2025 State IL (Romeoville)
All big men here with different types. Callahan is a stretch four. Hawkins is a bouncy athlete. Ingram is a rangy defender and rebounder. Walker is a long and lanky five with physical tools!
Amaree Burries Amaree Burries 5'11" | PG Jacksonville | 2025 State IL (Jacksonville), Drew Barrington Drew Barrington 6'0" | PG Carterville | 2025 State IL (Carterville), Cooper Hoffman Cooper Hoffman 6'1" | PG Pecatonica | 2025 State IL (Pecatonica), Luke Smith Luke Smith 6'1" | PG Belleville Althoff | 2026 State IL (Althoff), Khalil Jones Khalil Jones 5'11" | PG St. Laurence | 2025 State IL (St. Laurence), Aidan Bardic Aidan Bardic 6'3" | PG Stevenson | 2025 State IL (Stevenson)
This group of point guards run the show. They do it in different ways, but are all very good leaders and will be impactful players most likely at the small college level.
Ryan Clemmons (Homewood Flossmoor), Ty Macariola Ty Macariola 6'1" | SG Fenwick | 2025 State IL (Fenwick), Theo Rocca Theo Rocca 6'3" | SG Evanston | 2025 State IL (Evanston), Jackson Kees Jackson Kees 6'3" | SG Dekalb | 2025 State IL (Dekalb), Jacori Brown Jacori Brown 6'0" | SG Belleville East | 2025 State IL (Belleville East), Anthony Kosi Anthony Kosi 6'2" | SG Lockport | 2025 State IL (Lockport), Devon White Devon White 6'3" | SG Illini Bluffs | 2025 State IL (Illini Bluffs)
A ton of emerging perimeter scorers and shot makers in this cluster. Most of these names made a name for themselves over the last year.
Moses Wilson Moses Wilson 6'5" | SF Waubonsie Valley | 2025 State IL (Waubonsie Valley), Marquis Vance Marquis Vance 6'3" | SF Marist | 2025 State IL (Marist), Caden Workman Caden Workman 6'5" | SF Brother Rice | 2025 State IL (Brother Rice), Kobe Taylor Kobe Taylor 6'3" | SF Alton | 2025 State IL (Alton)
Speaking of new names all four of these went from unranked to ranked after strong junior campaigns. The wings bring legit size, length, and versatility to the table.
