This past weekend it looked to be the strong and skilled guard's turn to take the lead. Reed was super effective on drives and in the mid-range in both contests. He shined thanks to the ability to either muscle through contact at the rim, stop and pop with jumpers and hitting one handed floaters/runners over the out stretched hands of the opposition.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["2028636"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Brown u003ca href=u0022https://prephoops.com/2024/05/saturday-standouts-battle-for-texas/u0022u003ejoined the previously covered Driver u003c/au003eas a strong one-two scoring punch for Beast Up's backcourt. He's a strong and explosive finisher off the bounce, while also being similar to Driver as a threat from deep. On those drives, Brown is capable of playing through contact or avoiding it all together with his quickness and hang time. One of the more impressive prospects watched at the 17U level this weekend. With scoring in his DNA, Brown has a strong future at the next level.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1552339"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"After a breakout sophomore season, the skilled sharpshooter is making further strides against competitive regional and national competition. The Sabercat's jumper remains pure and locked in from deep, while he also learns how to still be effective and efficient against quicker and taller competition. Those steps forward in his game appeared this weekend with improving vision and chemistry with his post teammates. Which seemingly hint at his improving understanding that when attacking, it's just as important to create looks for others as it is to look to shoot. This is an important development period for Brammer heading into his junior season and he looks to be taking full advantage of it.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1509238"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Strong and athletic, Belibi is a force in transition and when given an open lanes on drives he often finishes with powerful and highlight reel dunks. He's starting to develop more of a mid-range game as a counter to when teams are able to wall him off. While his overall feel for the game seems to still be developing, the upside he represents as an athletic and strong scoring guard can not be denied.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["2438850"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Winning teams often receive contributions from their entire roster. Phillips was a great example of that on Saturday as a guard who popped up all the court with impactful plays. He was part of their effective team rebounding, show good functional athleticism with the way he attacked and corralled rebounds, especially on the offensive end. One of those rebounds was even quickly followed up with a nifty no look, overhead pass to a cutting teammate for two easy points. Add in the occasional scoring punch and Phillips looks set to have a productive summer leading into his senior season at Norman North.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["2337847"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"The Piedmont forward continues to battle down low, especially on the offensive end as an effective finisher and producing second chance points via offensive rebounds. Along with his blue collar mentality at the basket, he even fit in well to Next Level Swarm's quality shooting with the occasional jumper. McConnell is a good example of embracing and staring in a role, knowing that by doing so he can impact winning.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":6,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66426927b6842"} /-->
