Nasir Barnes Nasir Barnes 6'1" | PG York Suburban | 2027 State PA | 6’0 York Suburban + Sideline Cancer 17U
For just a freshman, Barnes carried a heavy creation burden and managed to lead the Trojans to a winning season. He averaged 19 points with his ability to shoot and blow by defenders off-the-dribble. And when he wasn’t beating both his man and the help defender to the rim, he was exploiting the rotations by finding the open man (6 ast/g). Now he’s playing 17u, where he can focus more on creating advantages for his teammates.
Daniel Gilhool Daniel Gilhool 6'9" | C Penn Charter | 2027 State PA | 6’9 Penn Charter + Sideline Cancer 15U
Having recently announced his plans to join his brother Matt at Penn Charter, Gilhool will get the chance to experiment over the spring and summer. He showed glimpses of passing and shot-blocking abilities versus true big men during EYBL Session 2 with Team Final . That plus the flashes he showed during the season as a floor spacer give him an intriguing set of skills. On the Made Hoops Circuit, Gilhool can explore those abilities and more.
Jasir Henderson Jasir Henderson 6'3" | SF Sankofa Freedom Academy | 2027 State PA | 6’3 Sankofa + Philly Pride Select 16U
Henderson actually came on last summer during the June live period as a day 1 summer for the Warriors. He went on to set a freshman single-game record with 26 points and 12 boards in February. Naturally built like a forward, Henderson can rebound and score on quick post-ups, but his best skill is shooting the three. He can knock them down when he’s spotting up from behind the arc and he can get to the second level for two.
Doug Layer Jr Doug Layer Jr 5'7" | PG Central York | 2027 PA | 5’7 Central York + Team Thrill 15U
A starter for most of CY’s 6A state championship run, Layer Jr brought spark to the game every time he touched the floor. First and foremost, he’s a menace on defense. He jumps passes from the weak-side and strips the ball away from his man heads up. With some juice on the ball offensively, Layer Jr should be able to prove that he’s a two-way nightmare this grassroots season.
Rahmir Speaks Rahmir Speaks 6'1" | CG West Catholic | 2027 PA | 6’1 West Catholic + Mt. Pleasant Bulldogs 15U
Speaks wasn’t the most heralded prospect on his own team entering high school and he doesn’t have a defined skill set. Yet, he earned minutes early on because he played extremely hard. His energy and hustle translate to winning 50/50 balls, playing lock-down defense, and attacking the basket whenever he gets a touch. As he adds skill on offense, Speaks could be an all-around game-changer.
