The 2024 Prelude Leauge Southern Exposure Showcase took place this weekend at the Riverview Park Activities Center in North Augusta, South Carolina, and Prep Hoops was in attendance to cover Saturday’s games. These six prospects stood out from the 17U Age Group which featured talented programs from South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
Zach Bleshoy Zach Bleshoy 6’4″ | CG Pope | 2025 State GA headlines our list of 17U Standouts from Saturday at the Southern Exposure Showcase. He is a tremendous athlete and put it on display from the start, jumping a passing land and finishing with a one-handed slam on the first possession of the game. Although he does have great bounce and speed, he is very calm with the ball in his hands. The game slows down for him when he’s attacking the basket, which almost throws off opposing defenders. Against the Charleston Raptors , Fleshy put up 21 points including three threes and an important overtime bucket.
Dover has the skillset and physical attributes of a successful forward at the next level. He is a serious offensive threat and can score off the dribble on the catch. Cam likes to float around the perimeter, but if he finds a size advantage he can take it into the post too. In the second half, Cam was also much more aggressive on the defensive end and on the glass. He put up 7 Points, 6 Rebounds, and 2 Blocks against Carolina Raptors.
Weaver made a huge impact on the Atlanta Timberwolves double-digit comeback win over Charleston Raptors . He turned the game around by being the focal point of the Timberwolves’ defensive pressure and using his athleticism to make an impact on both ends of the floor. On the offensive end, he excels as a rim runner and has some emphatic above-the-rim finishes. He had 3 crucial buckets in the final 2 minutes of regulation, and finished with 13 total points.
Highlights
Simply put, when the ball is in Melvin’s hands good things happen. He is a true killer that fills up the stat sheet for Charleston Raptors . Teal has a very strong frame and uses it well to create space in and around the paint. In a high-level matchup with Atlanta Timberwolves on Saturday evening, Melvin had stretches where he took the game over going for a near triple-double with 21 Points, 8 Rebounds, and 7 Assists, and even chipping in with 4 steals on the defensive end.
Sulley’s work rate was one of the single most impressive attributes of any prospect in the tournament. He never takes a play off – on either end of the floor. He brings relentless pressure on both ends of the floor, moving his feet and guarding multiple positions on the defensive end, and fighting for second chances and finishing at the rim on the offensive end. Ja’Kease was very good in the Raptors’ second game on Saturday, putting up an imposing 24 Points and 13 Rebounds.

Isaiah Lindor
Isaiah Lindor
Lindor is a very intriguing prospect who left a great first impression on me at the Southern Exposure Showdown. He is a true wing very great size and versatility on the floor. He is capable of scoring off the dribble or the catch, but particularly excelled on the defensive end in a win over Elite Game on Saturday where he had. He is an effective individual defender in the post or on the perimeter and is a strong rebounder as well. In that first matchup, he put up 13 Points and hauled in 5 boards.
