The 2024 Prelude Leauge Southern Exposure Showcase took place this weekend at the Riverview Park Activities Center in North Augusta, South Carolina, and Prep Hoops was in attendance to cover Saturday’s games. While there were only six teams in attendance, there was still plenty of room for prospects to face good competition and stand out against their peers. Check out these five prospects that impressed in Day 2’s action:
Isaiah Scott-Palacios Isaiah Scott-Palacios 6’0″ | SG Greenwood Christian | 2027 State SC headlines our list of standouts from the 15U Division of the Prelude League’s Southern Exposure Showcase. He had a terrific game against AJ Bouye Elite on Saturday Evening, playing all 36 minutes and putting up 25 Points and 18 Rebounds. Isaiah was in attack mode with the ball in his hands and is a strong driver, has a nice handle, seeks contact and finishes through it, and has very good feet.
James Epting
James Epting
Epting was another member of SC Elite Family’s 15U group that impressed me this weekend. He is primarily a shooter, but can also do more things when he’s on the floor. He is a reliable ball handler and passer, and moves well without the ball in his hands. James also chips in with the rebounding effort on the defensive effort. He put up 10 points in a win over AJ Bouyue Elite on Saturday.
Singleton had the ball in his hands a lot for the Raptors on Saturday, performing as the lead guard in a comfortable win. He is very quick with the ball and flashed in the open floor. Melachi is a good playmaker and is capable of creating plays for himself and others by using his speed, handle, vision, and shooting.
Tripp is the only true big man of the 15U Standout List. He has a good frame and fights for space in the paint. Edison also has soft hands and good touch around the basket. He had a couple of opportunities to punish smaller defenders on Saturday morning, and did so both times. Tripp also is a good rebounding presence and affects shots on the defensive end.
Joshua had an instant impact for Charleston Raptors in a win over AJ Bouye Elite. He used his size and strength advantage to back down opposing defenders and get buckets around the basket. Gladden has room to grow physically, as well, and has very broad shoulders. He had several finished through contact and showed a solid free throw stroke when he gets to the line.
