Over the course of the weekend the Romeoville Athletic Center and the Wintrust Sports Complex hosted 211 teams and over 800 games featuring teams from all over the country (and beyond in some cases). As always, our staff had boots on the ground throughout the weekend providing unparalleled coverage before, during, and now after the event. Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops! Now, as we start to recap a great weekend, let’s take a look back at some of the stock-risers coming out of the Chi-Town Tip Off.
Anderson had a couple of huge scoring games on Sunday to cap off a strong weekend for Illinois Bears Barrington 2025. The 6’8″ forward is able to stretch the floor out beyond three-point range as seen by the six-three point shots he made across two games on Sunday alone. His ability to step out to the perimeter while still possessing the size and strength to score inside will make him a very intriguing prospect to follow this spring and summer.

A 6’2″ wing from Oswego East High School, Bolden had a strong weekend playing with Indiana Game UA Rise 2027 at the Chi-Town Tip Off. His athleticism and length makes him very effective off of the dribble whether it is in transition off of the throw ahead, attacking closeouts in the halfcourt, or playing off of a ballscreen as a secondary playmaker. Bolden was able to get to the rim and finish consistently while going up against some of the best Class of 2027 talent at the event.

Brodzik opened the weekend with a trio of triples on Friday night in a win over Region Force Elite and then backed it up by making six three-point shots on his way to 22 points against Mike Glennon Elite on Saturday morning. The 6’2″ guard from Woodstock North High School had a very effective weekend from beyond the arc for his PAC Elite Basketball 2025 team.

Clark can flat out shoot the basketball and had that ability on display scoring 17 points on Sunday morning as Indiana Game UA Rise 2025 took down All in Athletics Figueroa 3SGB 2025. There were a couple of stretches where he took over the game including a few possessions in the first half that resulted in a pull-up jumper, catching an alley-oop, and getting fouled on a three. He is very athletic and has a smooth shooting stroke both in the mid-range and beyond the arc. Look for him to be a highly sought after prospect this spring and summer. Holds an offer from Bethel currently.

Owens is a very versatile wing for 5Star Basketball 3SGB 2025 that stood out on Sunday morning in a win over the Chicago Grinders . The 6’3″ athletic, physical wing from Mishawaka Marian High School is a consistent catch-and-shoot threat from the perimeter while also showcasing the capability to punish smaller defenders around the basket. HIs combination of size and skill allows him to be a matchup problem at all times for opposing defenses.
A consistent slasher and driver for Basketball Paradise 2026, Watkins helped lead the way to a 3-1 weekend at the Chi-Town Tip Off with their only loss coming to a loaded Mac Irvin Fire EYBL squad. Watkins possesses good physical and athletic tools that allow him to consistently finish around the rim. Defensively, he is very switchable and had success guarding multiple positions throughout the weekend.
Fresh off of a Class 3A state runner-up season with South Bend St. Joseph High School, this 6’2″ wing turned a great weekend with his 5Star Basketball 3SGB 2026 squad that went undefeated at the Prep Hoops Chi-Town Tip Off. White is very athletic on the perimeter with the ability to attack off of the bounce and play up around the rim at the end of his drives. When he gets headed downhill there isn’t much the defense can do to stop him.

It was a very productive weekend at the Prep Hoops Chi-Town Tip Off for this 6’5″ forward from Brother Rice High School. Workman saved his best game for last though putting up 23 points on Sunday evening as Mike Glennon Elite 2025 defeated All in Athletics Ralston 2025 by the score of 65-52. His strength around the basket, both when scoring on the block and cleaning the glass, really stood out.
