Throughout the week, Prep Hoops Next will look at all of the standouts from the tournament, to give our audience a clear look on who was standing out and performing well at #NEXTWarForTheNorth. In this article, we’ll look at a somewhat random list of 17 standouts, with many more key standout names to mention. Let’s see the key traits from some of the top prospects and performers.
14U Champions | Wisconsin 26ers
14U MVP | Tyler Kowal Tyler Kowal WI Wisconsin 26ers
Kowal has the look of a competitor and it turns out he’s a warrior and high-level competitor on the court. An athletic build with lean muscle mass. Plays tough and aggressive, and in the championship game he took things over late, because he knows his team has the best chance of winning with him being assertive. A winner that wants the ball when it counts most. He takes home a championship and tournament MVP honors back to Wisconsin.
David Addai David Addai 6'4" | SF MN | Team FSA
Addai was one of the top prospects at War For The North. He was a beast on the boards, and at a strong and physical 6’4”, he could not be kept off of the offensive glass.
Zeke Gilbert | Team FSA
Zeke was one of the more rare prospects in the 14U group. At 6’4” and superb length, he could handle the ball off the drive and was an efficient three-point shooter as well.
Cooper Routh

| Huskies
Cooper was a major bright spot for his team. Not only is he a long and athletic athlete, he brings great energy and effort to complete his well-rounded profile. Did a lot for his team, willing his way to the hoop and scoring in the paint. He was a frequent visitor to the free-throw line with his attacking style.
Cameron Walters | MN Hoop Troop
Walters was one of the top three-point shooters at War For The North. He had a really nice handle on the ball as well. Got after it and competed defensively. I think he emerges into a guard to know in Minnesota.
Blake Jones Blake Jones 6'2" | PF East Ridge | 2028 MN | MN Hoop Troop
Blake does it all, and is the definition of versatility. Somewhat of a positionless prospect that has the size and build of a big, but he can take the ball the full length of the court on his own. He’s a transition player and interior threat, all in one.
Evan Carter | Minnesota Fury
Evan was one of the top rebounders. His rebounding range was quite promising. He simply was tracking down the ball in the air at a high level. Ran the floor well and was a big-time finisher at the hoop as well.
Kai Becker | 204 Elite
Becker is an extremely long wing at 6’3”. You can just see the upside the young wing possesses, and he already has a talented and smooth jump-shot from mid-range and from three. A quick release and a high shooting release makes it easy for him to get his shot off.
Ose Okhiria | 204 Elite
Ose was one of the tallest and longest prospects, at his 6’5” listing. An obvious rim-protector that was challenging all shots around the hoop. A good athlete that can run and jump. He was effective in transition as well, at times.
Bradyn Delong | Wisconsin 26ers
Bradyn is not a physically imposing prospect at this time in his basketball career, but he has a clear skill-set and a basketball players mentality. Not a quick-twitch athlete, but he gets the job done. Can handle the ball, create space, and shot the ball at a high level. A key piece and leader for the Wisconsin 26ers .
Jack Logan

Minnesota Fury
Logan was a defensive master. On the ball and off the ball Jack was elite, defensively. Great technique and effort to be able to shutdown his opponents. Hit a couple big threes in the 14U championship game. He played with a lot of effort and emptied the tank. Got to love his effort.
Jayden Marshall | Earnest Academy
Marshall is a prospect I really like. A true two-way player that gives equal effort on both ends. Plays strong and fast off the drive and will challenge the ball-handler, defensively. A solid build and athletic profile. Moves well and fluidly, with power.
Dominic Barrett Dominic Barrett 5'11" | SG MN | Minnesota Fury
Barrett is a guard with solid size and that plays fast. Gets up and down the court quickly with the ball in his hands. A fast-break waiting to happen. He put his body on the line to finish through contact at the hoop.
Kyle Kyle Dalum | 2028 MN Dalum | MN Hoop Troop
Dalum is a fairly long big that can play on the perimeter as well. Saw him show some confidence and range from three. Moves well and competed on the glass.
Finn Macken

Macken
Rosemount | 2028

| MN Hoop Troop
Finn is just stronger and tougher than the kids his age. An advanced muscular build that he uses well. Finds a way to get a loose ball or rebound. Defends with strength and drives to the hoop, unafraid of contact, whatsoever.
Robert Lewis Robert Lewis MN | Minnesota Fury
Lewis brought the heat, defensively. He was a defensive stopper and playmaker. Communicated well and was locked-in on that end. A strong build and good lateral movement.
Dontrea Jones | 204 Elite
Jones is another guard/forward that brings toughness and strength. A junkyard dog type that has a strong frame and game. At 6’1”, he did a good job finishing at the rim.
