Tyler Francis Tyler Francis 6'5" | SF Nazareth | 2024 State NY , 6’7 F Riverside Hawks (Hotchkiss) 2025
Francis was a force for the Riverside Hawks all game as he attacked the rim throughout the opening game. The 6’7 forward threw down multiples dunks and was unafraid of finishing through contact around the basket. Francis was active on the offensive glass as he was able to secure multiple second chance opportunities for himself and the team. He moved well without the ball in his hands and influenced plenty of other shots around the basket. Francis is set to have a big prep year at Hotchkiss with his ability to finish strong above the rim and influence shots around the basket.
Cameron Ward, 6’6 SF Team Durant (Largo) 2025
Ward was dominant for Team Durant on opening day as he showed why he’s one of the best players in the DMV. The 6’6 wing punched home numerous dunks as he lived above the rim. Ward was assertive with his dribble as he was able to get to his spot on the floor throughout the day. He was active on the defensive end as he generated deflections, which led to turnovers and layups. Ward is a talented forward prospect who will be one to watch throughout the course of the AAU season.
Kiyan Anthony Kiyan Anthony 6'1" | PG Long Island Lutheran | 2025 State #39 Nation NY , 6’2 PG Team Melo (Long Island Lutheran) 2025
Anthony had a strong showing for Team Melo throughout the day as he put his offensive game on full display. The 6’2 guard wasted little motion in his jumper and shot the ball off the catch and bounce. Anthony rarely forced shots in the halfcourt and used his handle to get into the lane. He showed the ability to play off the ball as well slid his feet on defense. Anthony is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should continue to torch the nets from distance over the next couple of months.
Alex Mazzella Alex Mazzella 5'8" | PG St. Joe's (Mont.) | 2027 State NJ , 5’8 PG NJ Beasts (St. Joseph Regional) 2027
Mazzella was playing up in 16U, but that did not stop him from making plays throughout the opening game. The 5’8 guard wasn’t rattled by on-ball pressure as he was able to get to his spot and rose up nicely on his jumper. Mazzella made smart decisions with the ball in his hands and finished nicely around the basket. He played with good instincts on the defensive end as he was able to get steals on the defensive end. Mazzella is a gritty guard prospect who should continue to make plays for the Beasts throughout the spring and summer.
Myles Parker Myles Parker 6'7" | SG Rutgers Prep | 2025 State NJ , 6’7 W NJ Panthers (Rutgers Prep) 2025
Parker was fantastic for the NJ Panthers on the opening day as he showed his two-way ability. The 6’7 lefty has a clean release on his jumper and shot the ball with confidence from behind the arc. Parker moved well without the ball and the ball rarely stuck in his hands in the halfcourt. He swatted multiple shots throughout the day and showed the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor. Parker’s stock will be on the rise if he continues to play like he did on day one.
