Alex Franson Alex Franson 6'0" | PG Marshall | 2025 State MN of Southwest MN Stars (Marshall, Cg, 6’1). Franson did some handling, did some creating, and what he really did was cause the Crossfire issues when it came to keeping him in front. For every step the defender had it seemed Franson had a counter, and another counter into a release or an attack. Earned all event honors and showed off a touch in various ways.
Mark Kelly Mark Kelly 6'4" | PF Hill-Murray | 2024 MN of Twin Cities Elite (Hill-Murray). Mark is a graduating senior from Hill-Murray who scored ten a game for the improved Pioneers and then he had a game high 14 points with five boards against the Fury this weekend. If you can do that on eight shots against one of the elite 17u teams that is quite a blurb on a resume.
Alex Kriauciunas Kriauciunas MN of Minnesota Heat Leo (Mounds View, 6’4 Sf). The Mustangs continually produce good, smart basketball players and Alex seems to be the next in line. He is coming off of a 12 point per game season for a 19 win team and he will be the top returning player. Alex scored in double digits making half of his attempts against the top Comets team.
Trey Mix of Northstar Titans (Rogers, 6’2 Sg). What first caught my eye was the fight from Mix. Then I noticed he scored a healthy 11-12 a game this year on the Rogers team that surprised the state this season with a much better year than many (outside of Rogers) expected. Fight to the rim, to the boards, to win the spot, lots of things to like in the win over the Heat. Shooting form grabbed me too. Not sure what the numbers are but the form caught my eye when he made a three.
Anthony Ortiz Anthony Ortiz 6'0" | PG Minnetonka | 2026 State MN of Minnesota Select Brewer 16s (Minnetonka, 6’2, Sg). We have been thinking about who might be in the line-up for the Skippers next year and after seeing Brewer have weekend one success we thinking he could be involved. Ortiz is a shorter but strong off guard that hit an assortment of shots for his team in the two games we saw.
Noah Quiggle Noah Quiggle 5'8" | PG Concordia Academy | 2025 State MN of Minnesota Heat Leo (Concordia Academy, 6’5, Pf). Quiggle’s pivot, his tough off the turn, and his one dribble face up into a finish against bigger Comets players was really impressive. He was able to craft space and production using his frame and footwork against some of the better size in the state. Had a 14 point per game season as a junior.
