AAU Roster Spotlight: Indy Heat Red 17U

With rosters being finalized now is a perfect time to start taking a look at as many Indiana-based teams as we can. Starting with Sims, it is well-known that he is one of the best pure shooters we have in the entire state of Indiana and is coming off of great junior year averaging over 15.0 ppg. With Kampen, he is one of the few players out of the state on this roster and is one of the top players in the state of Michigan. He is an explosive on-ball guard than score at all three levels. The combo of Sims and Kamen will be one of the best AAU backcourts that represents the state of Indiana this season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2390222' first='Javon' last='Warfield']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One guy that has been on the rise over the past year in the state is 2025 Anderson guard [player_tooltip player_id='2390222' first='Javon' last='Warfield']. He is coming off a season that saw him average 13.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game foe the Indians while being one of the top breakout players in the state as the season went on. For [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 17U, he is going to be force on the perimeter for them while also being one of the more athletic players as well. He broke out a little in the high school season, and that should continue into the AAU season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Quick Hitters</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2278011' first='Devon' last='Craig'] - Craig will be one of the main forces when it comes to the frontcourt for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 17U. A little overlooked forward that could also breakout this AAU season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ari Jones - Jones is a quick guard out of Ohio that can flat out get buckets. He may be one of the top volume scorers for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] Red. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2438772' first='Sean' last='Shenker'] - Shenker is a lighting quick guards that has a lot of ranger in his game. He will get big shots throughout the AAu season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2485643' first='Lamose' last='Waites'] - Waiters is a little unknown guard out of Cathedral but is ready to breakout soon. Highly athletic player that could surprise some people. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2485926' first='Jaxon' last='Hughes'] - Hughes is a long forward that is a little under-the-radar in the northern Indiana area. Athletic player that can get straight buckets at all three levels. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1534938' first='Lukias' last='Warner'] - Warner is another player here that will be a factor in the frontcourt for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] Red.
