It’s the time where we see new faces in new places, new groups joining together, and a whole lot of action as it pertains to high-level basketball throughout the country.
In this article we highlight a program that many know with an All Iowa Attack 17U EYCL team that truly means business. This group is a stacked one out of the state of Iowa and it would not surprise me if they had a very successful season across the country over these next few months. They are equip with athletic Point Guards, lights out Shooting Guards, and physically dominant Post players that happen to have a lot of height. They will be competing on the Nike EYCL Circuit for the majority of this season so their competition is going to be no joke. They are going to have some games where they are the underdogs and they will have to figure somethings out but that shouldn’t worry them. This team is loaded with individuals that know how to win. If they can run some good action offensively, while defending like their lives depend on it, they are going to win a lot of games these next few months. Everyone just needs to stay locked in and play for one another. Something I’m not too worried about at this point with who is on this team.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

One of the most athletic Guards out of the 2025 Class in the state of Iowa. Robinson has recently committed to compete with the Cyclones on the football field once he graduates from Valley but don’t get me wrong, he is a bucket on the hardwood. Robinson can create for others, score from all three levels, and defend. His athletic ability is truly second-to-none in almost every matchup he faces, no matter the competition level. He is good for at least 2-3 thunderous dunks per game, while being smart enough to understand situational basketball. Coming from a great program in D1 Minnesota, I had my questions but after seeing what this team put together this past weekend, they are going to be a group to know on the EYCL Circuit these next few months.
Trevin Jirak Trevin Jirak 6’9″ | C Valley | 2025 State #349 Nation IA was the X factor in his Valley team’s state run this past few months, helping them bring home a State Title. Jirak has size, coordination, physical prowess in the lane, and discipline on both sides of the floor. He can do a plethora of different things offensively to score, while being someone that gets a ton of tips/deflections on defense because of his long arms and knowledge of the game. Jirak is a Division-1 talent if he is used in the correct way. On this team and within this system, he could really show his worth over these next few months but we will just have to wait and see how things play out. He is going to be the guy asked to dominate the lane each contest. If he can make his presence known, his recruitment will continue to sky rocket.
“Hand down, man down.” This is a common phrase we hear in the basketball world referring to a shooter that is lights out from deep and Bode Goodman Bode Goodman 6’2″ | PG Waukee Northwest | 2025 State IA embodies this phrase. Goodman is the best shooter on this team. When he is feeling it from deep, he can shoot the leather off of the basketball. He is the type of prospect that only needs to see one go in. If that happens, it could be a long day for any opponent that tries to make up with him. This team has so many producers, Goodman is going to have a field day these next few months. It wouldn’t surprise me if he got some low level D1 looks at the end of this Spring season with how well he can shoot off the catch. If the others around him continue to do their thing, they are all going to shine. Goodman included.
Highlights
Another shooter that this team has boughten in is Kyle Cason Kyle Cason 6’0″ | SG Valley | 2025 State IA of Valley High School. Cason is a someone that can get hot in a hurry. He has demonstrated the ability to score off the catch or he can shoot off the dribble just as well. I didn’t see Cason compete a ton personally this past Winter but I know that he is someone to notice going into this AAU season. He is going to be coming off of this groups bench from the looks of it, giving them a boost if the starters are having an off game. Like I said, this team is going to be deadly at every position and Cason will be a big part of that coming onto the floor, any time he is called upon.
One of the prospects on this roster that can really do it all at a high rate is Toryn Severson Toryn Severson 6’4″ | SG Madrid | 2025 State IA from Madrid High School. Severson is coming off of Junior Season where he averaged over 20 PPG on 50% shooting, along with a handful of Assists, Rebounds, and Blocks each game. Severson is a skinner guard at 6’3 but he is crafty and athletic. What he losses in muscle mass, he makes up for in quickness and versatility in his ability. Severson is the type of prospect, like many others on this squad, where you can give him the ball and tell him to go get you a bucket. If he is put into ideal situations with 1 on 1 matchups this AAU season, he is going to FEAST.

The progression that Manasse Kasongo Malu Manasse Kasongo Malu 6’7″ | PF Sioux City East | 2025 State IA has had over the past 4 years is nothing short of incredible. In middle school he wasn’t the tallest or most coordinated kid but that didn’t change the fact that he was willing to work harder than everyone else. When you account for that and the fact that he grew to be 6’7, you start to understand how he has become what he is. Malu can bully smaller players next to the rim, he can work from the mid-post in, or he can knock down a shot from behind the three point line if he has time to set himself. This is going to be a prospect that continues to shine on both the hardwood, as well as the football field over this next year. He is a multi-sport athlete that most recently received an offer to compete with the Cornhuskers following his high school career on the turf. If he stays locked in, he is going to have options to compete doing either sport down the line. He just needs to stay locked in.
Highlights
Kiki Deng Kiki Deng 6’4″ | SG Valley | 2025 State IA is another prospect that joins this program coming over from D1 Minnesota this season. Deng is a lengthy guard with a ton of talent. He can attack with the ball in his hands or he can move to the 2 spot and make things happen from the wing position. In my opinion, he isn’t a natural PG but he is a natural at the Shooting Guard or Combo Guard position. He demonstrates that he can take the ball strong to the basket or he can pull up and knock down a jumper. Defensively, he is very good. He has the ability to stick onto a smaller guard who is going down the floor or he can wall up against someone who maybe bigger. Deng is a prospect that makes things happen and I’m sure that will be his MO this AAU season as well.
Highlights
Luke Frazell Luke Frazell 6’6″ | SG Waverly-Shell Rock | 2025 State IA stands at 6’6 and he is one heck of a basketball player. Frazell checks off a ton of boxes that collegiate recruiters would have while looking at prospects for their perspective program. He obviously has size. He is athletic and coordinated. He plays with balance. Not to mention, he is VERY skilled. He can score from all three levels, displaying the ability to get to the rim off the dribble and finish with either hand or he can hit deep jump shots from basically anywhere on the floor. This team is the definition of stacked and Frazell could turn out to be one of the best. His ceiling is very high. I’ll be interested how he shows out with these other stars on his team but if it’s anything like the high school season, he should expect to be getting a lot of recruiting calls over these next few months.
