Here are the top-8 SG's in the 2027 class:

[player_tooltip player_id='1546975' first='Javon' last='Bardwell'] Desert Mountain

The top athlete on the list and one of the most athletic players in the class. He is a way above the rim finisher and is the best rebounder in the class pound for pound. He defends nearly every position and scores it from all levels with dunks, threes and pull-ups.

[player_tooltip player_id='2282925' first='Jacob' last='Hunter'] Liberty

A good sized shooting guard is the third talented Hunter brother and comes with a big IQ and skill. He can shoot the three, get to the basket off the bounce and will make plays for others with a good feel for the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146239' first='Carsyn' last='Dean'] Ironwood

A long and taller scoring guard had to play behind a talented group of older guards who ended winning the 5A Championship. He will get his chance to breakout this coming season. He scores it from all levels and uses his size to defend on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1464983' first='Mick' last='Riordan'] Boulder Creek

Arguably the top shooter on the list has real range, a good feel to make plays and has a competitive edge. He impressively made 41 3's on 51% from the 3pt line. You usually don't see many seniors doing that let alone a freshman. He plays from the neck up and don't leave him open or he will knock it down.

[player_tooltip player_id='2298904' first='Mikey' last='Shepston'] Saguaro (Pictured)

A strong framed scoring guard with size and a nice frame. He made 15 3's on 31% from the line and almost 50% from the field overall. He likes the mid-range pull-up and can attack the basket with his size. He is one of the better rebounders along with Bardwell and McNabb in the class for position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146268' first='Brock' last='Knee'] Arcadia

Another top notch shooter on the list has size, good length and high skill level. He has a picture perfect stroke from the three point line and was a rare starter on a playoff 4A team for the Titans. He made 26 3's on 33% from the stripe.

[player_tooltip player_id='1893666' first='Griffey' last='Williams'] Basha

One of the top shooters I viewed that was not on varsity yet was Williams. He has one of the strokes that when he releases it, you assume it's going in. He also has a nice mid-range pull-up after an impressive crossover. He will be moved up to varsity most likely this year and get a chance to light it up from deep. He doesn't lack confidence and should make the transition easily.

[player_tooltip player_id='2297439' first='Donovan' last='McNabb'] Brophy Prep

Another non varsity standout was McNabb. His dad was a Super Bowl QB for the Eagles and he also plays football but is very good on the hard court. He may be the second best athlete on the list behind Bardwell and grabs out of area rebounds with his aggressive football-like attitude. He can score from every level with drives to the rim, hits threes and pull-ups. It will be interesting which route he goes moving forward.
