Where should you go to see basketball in Minnesota this weekend? We give you the breakdown of the weekend ahead!

The Friday Metro Combo. You can go watch Fridley play Princeton at 5pm and get a look at what Fridley is doing with that great senior class. [player_tooltip player_id='2365722' first='Gideon' last='Cooper'], [player_tooltip player_id='1296151' first='Antwan' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='2365729' first='Jordan' last='Foster'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1309707' first='Bryson' last='Buggs'] look for win 17 against the another Tiger team, one that has struggled. [player_tooltip player_id='2121382' first='Noah' last='Stencel'] and Cash Pettit have a nice duo since Stencel's return allowing Princeton to win three of their last four (North Branch and St. Francis are good wins for them).

After that you should have time to get to just about any game on the list. Maybe even Tonka vs Wayzata if you leave early enough (although it will be packed and there will be lines). If not the Lake battle, there are many second options in the list at the bottom of the page.

Weekend's Best. That is tonight, Minnetonka vs Wayzata. Another Lake Conference classic match-up that has been must see basketball. We relive the previous game to preview the next game!

[player_tooltip player_id='1284083' first='Andy' last='Stefonowicz'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1560807' first='Isaac' last='Olmstead']. Andy had 27 in the loss having one of his better scoring games of the year. Isaac has been solid but also sharing some of the PG duties at times with...

[player_tooltip player_id='1288767' first='Greyson' last='Uelmen'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1560867' first='Christian' last='Wiggins']. These two have been versatile pieces for their teams. Uelmen is a top defender for his team plus the team's leading scorer. Wiggins has been the second leading Wayzata scorer and he's handled the ball some as a sophomore. Wiggins had 22 in the last game, Uelmen 18.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284162' first='Jordan' last='Cain'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1454976' first='Wyatt' last='McBeth']. Cain is back and right in time for the playoffs. He had 20 recently against Chan and scored 17 in the previous Tonka/Wazyata game. McBeth had eight in the previous game. He is very good at getting his length on the opposition and I really like the progress McBeth has made.

[player_tooltip player_id='1296153' first='Kayden' last='Wells'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1287438' first='Jackson' last='McAndrew']. Wells is the guy that has to slow down McAndrew and in game one Jackson had his trademark 31 points. Wells battled for 14 but McAndrew is such a tough match because of his size around the basket and the range on his touch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574218' first='Duke' last='Richardson']/[player_tooltip player_id='1567964' first='Isa' last='El-Amin'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='1286705' first='Drew' last='Nepstad']/[player_tooltip player_id='1227246' first='Ben' last='Shaffer']/[player_tooltip player_id='2361393' first='Brayden' last='Sandmann']. Here is the difference in these teams. Sandmann is the latest JV to Wayzata main five success story. He scored 13 in the previous game. He gives them more depth than their opponents. And he can guard a Richardson at two inches taller, Shaffer can guard El-Amin at two inches taller, and then you have Nepstad at 6'4 that will pair with McBeth against Cain and Wells.

Bang For the Buck. The playoffs really get going tomorrow in two locations - Montevideo (3A) and Worthington (3A) - where will be multiple games with the season on the line.

Montevideo has FIVE games starting at 11am and you can see [player_tooltip player_id='1411178' first='Brayson' last='Boike'] of Dawson-Boyd, [player_tooltip player_id='1845254' first='Isaac' last='Post'] of MACCRAY, Ryan Harrington of Central Minnesota Christian, and other Section 3A standouts PLUS after those four games are over, Montevideo will play it's 3AA section playoff game against Minnewaska Area. Five games! Montevideo 6'4 junior [player_tooltip player_id='2104548' first='Gannon' last='Reidinger'] has had a great year scoring 19 a game.

The four games at Worthington HS start at 11am with Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda vs Hills/Beaver Creek, Murray County Central vs TMB, Westbrook-Walnut Grove vs Southwest Minnesota Christian, and Red Rock Central vs defending champ RTR.
