Seniors ended their high school careers. Shortly after the season wrapped @PrepHoopsTN finalized our 2024 Player Rankings. These are the best power forward college prospects in the Class of 2024.
It is possible that some of these players will play small forward or center within their college system, but the projection is that these are guys destined to play mostly power forward after high school. Some of them are signed already.
The ranking to the left of each player is their Power Forward ranking, not their overall ranking among all 2024 players.

Continue ReadingThe Class of 2024 was not blessed with many elite power forwards, but the PF depth is as good as it has been since @PrepHoopsTN opened its doors in 2018. Two players are going D1 ( Kavien Jones Kavien Jones 6'6" | PF Battle Ground Academy | 2024 State TN , R’Chaun King R’Chaun King 6'6" | PF Bartlett | 2024 State TN ) and three are going D2 ( Griffin Cooper Griffin Cooper 6'8" | PF Columbia Academy | 2024 State TN , Jack Shutters Jack Shutters 6'10" | PF Baylor School | 2024 State TN , Jack Shackelford Jack Shackelford 6'7" | PF Bartlett | 2024 State TN ).
Also committed is Jackson Hobbs Jackson Hobbs 6'6" | PF Elizabethton | 2024 State TN (Reinhardt College), Brandon Jamison Brandon Jamison 6'5" | PF Stewarts Creek | 2024 State TN (Bryan), Cross Chadwick Cross Chadwick 6'7" | PF Tri-Cities Christian Academy | 2024 State TN (Emory & Henry).
Uncommitted
There are a number of delectable unsigned power forwards still unsigned with Jackson Ary Jackson Ary 6'8" | PF Bradley Central | 2024 State TN , Elijah Lussier Elijah Lussier 6'9" | PF Collierville, TN | 2024 State TN , Daunte White Daunte White 6'6" | PF LaVergne | 2024 State TN , and Cooper Abner Cooper Abner 6'7" | PF Westmoreland | 2024 State TN to name a few.
A common trend among the uncommitted bunch is lack of height for the position. Perhaps they will just play a positionless role, rebounding and defending the 3/4, or maybe they will try to become a wing at the next level. Keep in mind players are assigned a position at we think they will play in college.
Rossview forward Landon Hankemeier Landon Hankemeier 6'4" | PF Rossview | 2024 State TN rebounded like a natural center (7.3 rpg) and yet he projects as a college forward despite standing 6-foot-4. The center played strong and assured off of two feet. LH scored at 56% from the floor this year and even finished tied for second with 1.5 steals per. Hankemeier earned All-District First Team and helped vault his senior-laden team into the State Tournament.
Brandon Jamison Brandon Jamison 6'5" | PF Stewarts Creek | 2024 State TN (Stewarts Creek) is not a hulking presence in the lane. Standing 6-foot-5. Jamison will play forward in college after signing to Bryan University thanks to his agility and budding skills. Jamison is a little raw and can improve his shooting range, but he scores consistently at the 4A level. The outgoing senior put in the work on his body, becoming a strong, powerful forward with some decent change of direction.
