(Note: this is not at all a definitive list, just part of an ongoing series to highlight some New England natives who are deserving of being recruited)
Bellot Jr. has been great for CATS Academy this season, impressing at both the Maine Event and the National Prep School Invitational over the past couple of months. A quick and tough guard who does a great job of getting all of his teammates the ball, he has the look and game of a high-major prospect.
Keel is a crafty and quick lead guard who, like Bellot, impressed at the National Prep School Invitational- Averaging over 27 points in two games at the event. He’s played 17U every year of high school AAU thus far and will play up again this year. Because of his high level competition, he understands how to manipulate a defense and get to his spots or find his teammates in the right spots better than most sophomore point guards.
Tabales shot the ball well earlier this month at the Nation Prep School Invitational and has done a solid job coming off the bench for a talented New Hampton squad. He’s one to keep an eye on moving forward.
Powell is a natural scorer who can really shoot the ball from deep and is comfortable shooting off the dribble or as a catch-and-shoot guy. At 6-foot-3 he has the ability to get his own shot or find his teammates for open looks.
