There was only really a few matchups that were expected for the 2A State Championship, and Brownstown Central vs Wapahani was one of them. Honestly, you could make a strong case that is the best game on paper in all four games taking place this Saturday because you have two of the favorites from both north and south going up against one another. Starting with Brownstown, they pretty much steam-rolled every team they came across on the way here while being led by Purdue signee [player_tooltip player_id='1158245' first='Jack' last='Benter'], who is bringing in 25.6 ppg here. It was not just Benter that got the Braves here because guys like [player_tooltip player_id='1547584' first='Parker' last='Hehman'], [player_tooltip player_id='1296999' first='Chace' last='Coomer'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1297005' first='Colby' last='Hall'] have all been big factors. For the Raiders of Waphani, they had a tougher road to get here going though teams such as Tipton and Fort Wayne Blackhawk, but its helps when you have one of the best senior guards in the state, [player_tooltip player_id='1158181' first='Isaac' last='Andrews'], who brings in 24.6 ppg. [player_tooltip player_id='1561131' first='Camden' last='Bell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1381463' first='Nate' last='Luce'] are other key contributors for Waphani, as well. Regardless of the outcome, this is going to be the toughest game for either team this season.
