Denis was pivotal in Davidson Day’s quest to an NCISAA 2A State Title as he posted 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists on an efficient 7/11 shooting day in the title game. He’s a prospect due for a big grassroots season after a breakout year with the Patriots on their way to a state crown. He’s a high-major talent as he moves up to the eighth spot in the latest rankings update. At 6-foot-5, he’s capable of operating on the wing and at either guard role given his skill set, length and athleticism.
Highlights
Ericksen is another versatile name who moves up in the latest rankings update as he moves into the 11 spot, up from 22nd. He was a pivotal piece in Green Level’s ascent through the NCHSAA 4A State Playoffs as a 1-seed in the East. He put up 18.1 PPG, 8.3 RPG, 1.8 APG and 1.0 SPG as the Gators finished the year 14-0 in the SWAC and 29-2 on the year. He’s another name in the class due for a big grassroots season with SW15H Elite as he continues to develop his all-around game as a versatile presence.
Highlights
McKinnon was a key piece in Lake Norman’s run to this year’s NCHSAA 4A West Region Finals. He’s another prospect listed at the small forward spot who can operate in a variety of ways given his abilities on the wing and off the dribble. He posted 15.4 PPG, 4.3 RPG and 1.1 SPG on the year as he moves from No. 31 into the 21st spot in the latest rankings update.
Highlights
Simpson is another familiar wing presence out West at Hendersonville High as he moves from No. 49 into the 39th spot in the latest rankings update. He led the way for his squad as they finished 19-8 on the year with 20.9 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 2.7 SPG and 1.8 APG. He finished ranked 47th in double-doubles, according to MaxPreps, with 13 on the season. He’s a versatile forward presence who can hold his own as a slashing and paint presence.

Deluca is another prospect who continues to rise in the 2025 class, moving from No. 75 to No. 33 in the latest rankings update. He’s a prospect who can operate at a number of positions given his skill set at 6-foot-6. He put up 13.1 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 2.5 APG, 1.1 BPG and 1.0 SPG while shooting 44 percent from behind the arc and 53 percent from the field. He’s shown he can defend multiple positions on the floor while operating at multiple positions offensively as well. He’s a prospect for DI and DII programs to put on their radar this grassroots cycle.
Highlights
Karr moves from No. 62 to No. 40 in the latest rankings update out of North Lincoln High after their 22-7 finish in 2023-24. He led the team with 17.3 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 5.9 APG and 2.7 SPG, acting as their main scorer and distributor from the wing position. He’s slowly showing he’s a DI/DII level prospect to get eyes on in the Lincolnton area after ranking 24th in the state in assists and 26th in double-doubles (16), according to MaxPreps.
Wilson is emerging as quite the forward/wing presence with the South Wake Sabres. He showed his versatility in producing 11.3 PPG, 7.4 RPG, 3.4 APG, 1.4 SPG and 1.2 BPG in his junior campaign. He’s a prospect who constantly finds ways to make an impact when he’s on the hardwood. He moves from No. 85 to 65th in the latest rankings update.
Highlights
Williams had himself quite the season for Gaston Christian School as they made the NCISAA 3A State Title game. At 6-foot-5, he showed he could be a force around the rim on both ends of the hardwood, posting 4.2 PPG and 4.2 RPG in 2023-24. He saved his best for last in putting up 10 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in the state finals, despite the result. He moves from 120 into the 74th spot as a Division II prospect for college programs to get to know.
