He’s another prospect listed at the small forward spot who can operate in a variety of ways given his abilities on the wing and off the dribble. He posted 15.4 PPG, 4.3 RPG and 1.1 SPG on the year as he moves from No. 31 into the 21st spot in the latest rankings update.

Last Season Stats – 14.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 1.6 SPG
McKinnon should be in line for a breakout year this year, with all the tools needed to be a wing scorer at both this level and the next one. He’s got the athleticism and pop to play above the rim and attack the basket from all spots on the floor. He’s even getting better as a perimeter scorer too, shooting it better over the summer. Also versatile on defense, able to switch and guard multiple positions. He’s a very prototypical Division 1 prospect that should see many more offers heading his way.

was another name at Lake Norman High that saw his stock rise in the 2025 rankings. McKinnon is an active prospect on the wing that has a bright future ahead of him that put up 14.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.6 spg and 1.1 apg in 2022-23 as they finished 19-8 and 11-1 in the conference season. He’s an athletic presence that likes to get out and make things happen in space. As he shows off his ability to handle the ball and knock down shots on the perimeter, he’s a name to keep an eye on in the 704 area. He’ll be a name to keep eyes on this grassroots season.
