*Remember, we have 3 Classes now in ND. You do not necessarily have to win the Region Tournament to get to State! There are Challenge Games/Play-In Games on Saturday, March 9th. Region 1 & 2 meet at the SHAC in Fargo and Region 3 & 4 meet at the New Town Event Center. The runner-up finishers will play the 3rd place finisher from the opposite Region for the right to play at the State Tournament.

Game 1 at 4:30 will be a great matchup and rivalry game. The Squirrels and Jaguars played last Monday and CC won in overtime 74-70. You would think that the Squirrel's experience of winning the State Tournament last year would propel them to victory. However, that will not be the case tonight. The Jags will slow [player_tooltip player_id='1144578' first='Cole' last='Holzer'] down just enough to eke out the victory. [player_tooltip player_id='1145107' first='Landon' last='Moser'] will have a big night, score in the high 20's, and knock down some crucial buckets. Who is the X-factor? Freshmen [player_tooltip player_id='1547230' first='Hudson' last='Rietschel'] will get loose and drill a couple of shots to push the Jags over the edge. Look for Laxdal to draw up some sweet sets down the stretch and for North Cass to execute.

The Huskies should crush the Grovers in game 2 at the SHAC. Wahp beat OG twice this season, 69-46 & 76-55. Veteran coach Jeff Ralph will have the Huskies foaming at the mouth to start the game. PHD predicts the Huskies to start strong and compete throughout as if they are running the Iditarod! Expect strong performances from [player_tooltip player_id='1184547' first='Jayden' last='King'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1184569' first='Treyton' last='Mauch']. A youngster to watch is [player_tooltip player_id='2339217' first='Jack' last='Gilbertson']. The player to watch for the Grovers is [player_tooltip player_id='2092234' first='Kai' last='Zabel'].

The nightcap is between the Hi-Liners and Broncos. They split in the regular season. [player_tooltip player_id='1541300' first='Cameron' last='Cordero'] is the player to watch from Lisbon, his motor runs like an 80's muscle car and he plays with a ton of heart. Can he and [player_tooltip player_id='1144569' first='Jayden' last='Bittner'] pull the upset? Not tonight, PHD is picking Valley City. [player_tooltip player_id='2333734' first='Bryson' last='Heck'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1168165' first='Carson' last='Eggert'] both average 13.3 ppg, tonight I think they both score over that. [player_tooltip player_id='1168300' first='Zach' last='Sykora'] is the X-factor to watch for the Hi-Liners.

The Spoilers will be spectators tonight, #1 seed gets the bye.

The Tommies beat HCV twice in the regular season 81-71 & 61-44. It is tough to beat a team 3 times, but Thompson can do it! PHD is expecting [player_tooltip player_id='1165392' first='Karter' last='Peterson'] to be productive around the basket and for [player_tooltip player_id='1705523' first='Drew' last='Overby'] to shoot it hot from 3. Expect [player_tooltip player_id='1168276' first='Landon' last='Olson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1144488' first='Jacob' last='Brandt'] to put up a vicious fight, but it will not be enough for the Burro the win.

In game 2, Devils Lake will have no trouble with Carrington. DL beat them twice this season 71-30 and 77-31. Expect [player_tooltip player_id='1177143' first='Parker' last='Brodina'], [player_tooltip player_id='1411320' first='Wylee' last='Delorme'], [player_tooltip player_id='1769085' first='Joel' last='Nelson'], [player_tooltip player_id='1918762' first='Beau' last='Brodina'], [player_tooltip player_id='1746515' first='Oliver' last='Wirth'], and company to be as sharp as a tack tonight. Tomorrow's game will be a BIG one vs. 4Winds!

In Region 2, the #2 seed gets the Bye. 4Winds will be watching from the bleachers.

Champion: Stanley

Stanley will crush in game 1 behind strong performances from [player_tooltip player_id='1145117' first='Josh' last='Hetzel'], [player_tooltip player_id='1716899' first='Drake' last='Schlosser'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1355919' first='Bennett' last='Larson'].

South Prairie-Max beat Turtle Mountain in early February by 10. PHD is going with the Royals to win again. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='1936475' first='Josh' last='Groninger'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1936473' first='Cameron' last='Sys'] to lead the way for SPM.

DLB should take care of business against Nedrose. Coach Chris Brown does an excellent job, his players are always prepared, and they execute well. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='2297693' first='Braylon' last='Fisher'], [player_tooltip player_id='1466820' first='Jake' last='Schaefer'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2053544' first='Colton' last='Feller'] to lead the way for the Lakers.

The Bottineau Braves are the pick for the nightcap. [player_tooltip player_id='1144617' first='Carson' last='Haerer'] will score in the 30's once again and move on to the next round. Haerer has scored 30+ points in plus 12 or more games this year! Haerer will be 1st All-State and likely a Mr. Basketball candidate.

Region 4

Semifinal Winners: Beulah, Shiloh Christian

Champion: Beulah

The Miners move to the next round with a bye.

Hazen will shoot the lights out against the Cowboys and collect the victory. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='1139583' first='Tyson' last='Wick'] to hit 5+ triples, score in the high 20's to low 30's, and for [player_tooltip player_id='2132776' first='Keaton' last='Batke'] to also have a splashy showing. Tuesday's game of Hazen vs. Beulah will be a marvelous matchup!

Shiloh will dominate against Watford City. The Skyhawks slammed the Wolves 88-51 in the regular season. PHD is expecting a spectacular performance from All-State talent [player_tooltip player_id='1372160' first='Atticus' last='Wilkinson']. The BIG man should put up a Double-Double. [player_tooltip player_id='1219808' first='Caden' last='Englund'] will be the top slasher on the floor and a shooter to watch is [player_tooltip player_id='1481868' first='Wyatt' last='Westin'].

Dickinson Trinity should have little trouble with Standing Rock. In the regular season, Trinity beat them 72-39. However, The Rock is scary, they upset Beulah 65-60 on February 15th. PHD is going with the Titans. [player_tooltip player_id='1144605' first='Jake' last='Shobe'] is one of the best in A and he will power the red & white to a quarterfinal victory.
