What has been the biggest focus for you personally this season?
“The biggest focus for me is doing whatever it takes to win games, so if that’s scoring, rebounding, or guarding the best player.“
What’s one area of your game you’ve seen the most improvement in?
“Definitely shooting. I was in the gym all summer on the shooting machine, getting my shot right.“
What does your team do well when you’re playing your best basketball?
“Defense for sure. Or even running our offense, not going 1 on 1 and moving the ball.“
Who’s a teammate that deserves more recognition?
“ Jaran Reinhardt Jaran Reinhardt 6'4" | SG Hazen | 2026 State ND . He has a smooth game very athletic and shoots it very well from the field.“
How do you stay locked in during the grind of the season—especially on tough weeks?
“Staying in the gym, always shooting or getting stronger.“
What’s something your coaches emphasize that really shows up on game nights?
“Defense, we do a lot of defensive drills in practice and I think it really shows on game nights.“
What’s the biggest lesson basketball has taught you?
“My freshman and sophomore year, I wasn’t the best shooter, so I knew I had to work on that, and again I was in the gym all summer shooting, so I would say basketball had taught me what you put in is what you get out.“
What has been your favorite moment of the season so far?
“Definitely the night we played Watford, going into double OT and hitting the game-winning free throw and getting that Region win while missing 4 kids who play a lot of minutes.“
Favorite gym to play in (besides home)?
“Dickinson Trinity, they have such a nice gym and a good environment when it’s packed for Region play.“
What are you hoping to accomplish before postseason play begins?
“Get a top 3 seed for Regionals and going in, we are playing our best basketball.“

Handled the ball well and brought a steady presence to his team’s offense, making things easier for everyone around him. Showed strong passing instincts, consistently finding the open man and creating easy looks. Got downhill at will and stayed under control, keeping pressure on the defense. Did a good job recognizing double teams and making the right read to kick it out. Defensively, he was active in the passing lanes and disrupted the flow with timely deflections and awareness.

He is a youngster playing up in 17U. I have not seen him play live since last summer, so I am excited to see how his game has evolved. I have heard that Keaton has packed on the muscle; he should have no trouble fitting in physically. In high school hoops, Batke gets a TON of attention from the defense. Will he be able to take advantage of 1on1 matchups? How does his shot look from 3, does he hit them consistently and play with confidence?

Had a nice season for a soph, received a ton of attention from opposing defenses, but still produced. Batke was selected to the All-Region 4 Team in Class A. I am impressed w/ his strength, persistence, toughness & aggressiveness. Batke has little trouble splitting a double team & scoring through contact. Keaton averaged around 13 ppg, 6 rpg, 3 apg, 2 spg. He is a strong & skilled downhill slasher who will get you buckets w/ creativity. PHD is expecting a big offseason from Batke.
