Which Wisconsin 2025 guards are poised to impress scouts this spring?

[player_tooltip player_id='1447228' first='Jamarion' last='Batemon'] -- CG -- Milwaukee Academy of Science

Batemon is an electric guard who opposing defenders struggle to stay in front of in the open court. He is a fast-twitch athlete who can finish difficult layups amongst taller players. As a slasher, Batemon uses his long strides to blow by defenders and convert. Coming off of a great high school season, I am looking for Batemon to take a huge step forward this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='1300316' first='Myles' last='Herro'] -- PG -- Whitnall

I think that Herro could be in for a major breakout this spring. The Whitnall point guard possesses high IQ and an excellent feel for the game. His ability to locate open teammates is very impressive. The PG uses this court vision to provide opportunities for teammates. Herro is also a tremendously talented scorer who can knock down open shots and finish at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1240337' first='Jake' last='Hansen'] -- SG -- Wauwatosa West

Hansen is no doubt one of the best shooters in the state of Wisconsin. The Wauwatosa West SG is a deadly sniper from beyond the arc who doesn't let his game get too stale. As a ballhandler and isolation scorer, Hansen has improved massively in recent months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1289064' first='Elijah' last='Griffin'] -- PG -- Westosha Central

Griffin is no doubt one of the most talented guards in Wisconsin's 2025 class. The point guard is a dynamic offensive player who does a little bit of everything. He is an elite passer and scorer. This past season, Griffin averaged over 20 points per game and five plus assists. This coming AAU season, I look for Griffin to make his mark and announce himself to college programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1362736' first='Jack' last='Lutz'] -- PG -- Whitnall

Although he may be short in stature, Lutz makes up for his lack of size with skill and scoring ability. As a junior, Lutz averaged 23.5 points per game on 62 percent shooting from the field. Lutz is a shifty, speedy lead guard who makes smart plays on a consistent basis. I really look forward to watching the rest of Lutz's career play out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1412883' first='Perry' last='Dorris'] -- PG -- Martin Luther

A player who has gotten better year after year, Dorris now looks to take a leap. I thought that the point guard did some terrific things last spring and summer. He has a rare combination of toughness and pure skill. Dorris plays hard and plays to win. The PG is a great scorer and slick passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598239' first='David' last='Bolden'] -- PG -- Nicolet

Leading the Knights to an incredibly successful season as a junior, Bolden's stock is at an all-time high. The point guard is an effective passer, great ball handler, and gritty defender. In my opinion, Bolden is at his best when he is distributing to teammates. I really appreciate the PG's unselfishness and willingness to pass up good shots for great ones.
