Bryce Heard Bryce Heard 6'6" | SG Homewood Flossmoor | 2025 State #86 Nation IL (Homewood Flossmoor)
Previous Ranking: #2
Current Ranking: #1
Heard earned the bump up to the top spot with the way he played not only in the state tournament, but really the entire second half of the season. He was consistent for the 4A state champions in each and every evaluation we saw him. Big two guard displayed that he could score effectively from all three levels. His jumper especially rising up over defenders was spectacular the last three months.
Aleks Alston Aleks Alston 6'9" | PF Kenwood | 2025 State #170 Nation IL (Kenwood)
Previous Ranking: #4
Current Ranking: #2
Alston dropped to #4 in the previous update after we saw him in two games where he contributed almost nothing. Then that flipped a switch almost immediately after we released those rankings. He had better games the second half of the season. Attacked more, worked out of the mid and high post areas, and contributed across the board showing his vast skill set both offensively and defensively instead of just settling for threes as a spot up shooter. The potential is through the roof and when the production matches the sky is the limit.
Ian Miletic Ian Miletic 6'5" | SF Rolling Meadows | 2025 State IL (Rolling Meadows)
Previous Ranking: #12
Current Ranking: #6
Miletic is one of the most advanced skilled players in the 2025 class. What we have liked for years about him is his size for position and ability to pass at that size. The athleticism has really come around as has the consistency shooting it from beyond the arc. Had some epic showings from beyond the arc this season. Can handle in the open floor and is a versatile playmaker.
EJ Horton EJ Horton 6'2" | PG Phillips | 2025 State IL (Phillips)
Previous Ranking: #24
Current Ranking: #10
Horton got in the last rankings based on what our Chicago scouts Steve Parham and Reggie Bates said. After seeing him down the stretch of the season he gets bumped into the top 10. Led his team to the 2A crown with his absolutely explosive passing. Made some dishes in Champaign that were out of this world! Combine that with his shot making from three, burst off the bounce, and anticipation on the defensive end and we might have a legit mid-major talent.
Jayden Tyler Jayden Tyler 6'0" | PG Homewood Flossmoor | 2025 State IL (Homewood Flossmoor)
Previous Ranking: #38
Current Ranking: #28
Tyler also got a 10 spot jump after his play during the second half of the season at the point guard spot. The smaller guard has plus athleticism and can really shoot the rock. The athletic ability shines off the bounce with acrobatics at the rim. Rebounds well for his size and is a pesky defender.
Makai Kvamme Makai Kvamme 6'0" | PG DePaul Prep | 2025 State IL (DePaul Prep)
Previous Ranking: #58
Current Ranking: #29
Kvamme was outstanding all season long, but took it to new heights in the second half of the season and in the playoffs. Leadership really stands out with this junior guard as he runs the show while finding his spots to score. Smooth ball handler that has a feel for the game, hits open shots, and is crafty around the hoop with his soft touch finishing package.
Sean Reynolds Sean Reynolds 6'1" | SG Dekalb | 2025 State IL (Dekalb)
Previous Ranking: #37
Current Ranking: #30
Reynolds is one of the premier shooters in the state. That was abundantly evident all season, but especially in the second half of the season for Dekalb. Moves so well off the ball getting open and hitting shots. Can play on the ball some and is a sneaky passer.
Alex Stell Alex Stell 6'9" | C Waterloo | 2025 State IL (Waterloo)
Previous Ranking: #44
Current Ranking: #37
Stell is a big bodied five man that had a really good junior year. Scores with his back to the basket garnering deep post position, utilizing quality footwork, and has touch. High level passer that can really dish the rock. One of the best passing bigs in the class. Rebounds extremely well in his area.
Docker Tedeschi Docker Tedeschi 6'8" | PF Benton | 2025 State IL (Benton)
Previous Ranking: #56
Current Ranking: #42
Tedeschi was a key part of Benton’s late season run. The face up four played his best basketball down the stretch. Liked how he stuffed the stat sheet including blocking shots at a high level along with scoring inside/outside.
Grant Best Grant Best 6'3" | SG Mt. Carmel | 2025 State IL (Mt. Carmel)
Previous Ranking: #67
Current Ranking: #48
On a team filled with college prospects Best was the guy that when Mt. Carmel was playing its best he was usually rolling. Shooting guard that can really let it fly from the perimeter. Has a nose for always being around the ball and making the intangible play.
Lyncoln Koester Lyncoln Koester 6'3" | SG Mt. Zion | 2025 State IL (Mt. Zion)
Previous Ranking: #119
Current Ranking: #49
Plus shooter from three that can really let it fly! Koester led Mt. Zion to the state final with a big junior campaign. Crisp jumper with good handles. Can elevate his stock even more by showing he can play on the ball.
AJ Keith AJ Keith 6'4" | SG Pinckneyville | 2025 State IL (Pinckneyville)
Previous Ranking: #123
Current Ranking: #90
Keith had one of the most epic quarters we saw all season at the Pinckneyville Shootout in January. The athletic shooting guard did whatever he wanted on an absolute heater slicing the defense up displaying his jumper, drive game, and all-around scoring package.
Amari Edwards Amari Edwards 5'8" | PG Phillips | 2025 State IL (Phillips)
Previous Ranking: #132
Current Ranking: #98
Edwards is a smaller lead guard that is a shooter first and foremost. Had a big season for Phillips after transferring in from St. Rita. Played well complimenting Horton’s passing with his shot making. Good floater game as well.
