Oak Ridge (24-3)

One of the top teams in the state took down the Osceola Kowboys in an 87-76 win to move on in the state championship tournament. Oak Ridge boasts a versatile lineup that features various Division I athletes including an elite junior in 2025 G [player_tooltip player_id='1301713' first='Jamier' last='Jones'] who recently recorded 1000 career points for his high school campaign. When you combine the production Jones provides with three DOGS in seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1055776' first='Tyler' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1163617' first='Cameron' last='Simpson'] along with rising 2025 G [player_tooltip player_id='1301787' first='Jalen' last='Reece'], you have a well-put-together roster that can push deep into the state tournament. The Pioneers made it to the state semifinals last year but have another chance at earning some big-time hardware.

Up Next: Lake Worth (18-9)

Seminole (21-7)

Seminole made a lot of noise on the football side of things but now has put together a solid regular season and could be a problem in the state tournament after defeating Creekside 82-77 in the first round. This kid Josiah Shackelford has been on fire this season with a very productive year for Bokey Basketball. He recorded a well-rounded 32 points, 5 assists, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals in a big-time win over Creekside. 2025 G Jorden Pittman also came up big, adding 22 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. Look out for a competitive matchup in the next round against a solid University (22-5) program.

Windermere (20-8)

Always impressed when getting eyes on the Windermere Basketball program which has been well coached. The Wolverines will move on to the region semifinals after a 66-59 win over Palm Beach Lakes. 2025 forward [player_tooltip player_id='2145510' first='TJ' last='Drain'] has helped solidify this team with seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1055796' first='Ta'Veon' last='Jones'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1306090' first='Chalier' last='Torres'] making it happen as they've done for the last couple of years. It's been interesting to watch his team grow together and it'll all come down to a tough showdown with Oak Ridge in the next round.

Up Next: Olympia (19-8)

Durant (22-7)

The Cougars have moved on in the state championship tournament with an important 66-53 win over North Port. Senior G [player_tooltip player_id='1306085' first='Austin' last='White'] has done all he can to will his team to a solid regular season record while scoring 21.8 points per game. Senior paint beast Wylde Correa has also been productive this season with double digit stats. He's added 12.4 points with 10.5 rebounds per game. That's a solid duo right there with other productive pieces to make this Durant team whole. Crucial next game against one of the top teams in the state in Winter Haven.

Up Next: Winter Haven (25-1)

Ocoee (20-9)

Beat Lake Brantley 63-49

Huge win for Ocoee in the first round as the program beat Lake Brantley in a total team effort. Class of 2025 AJ Smith finished with 20 points and 9 rebounds while senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1055783' first='Justynn' last='Thomas'] added 20 points from the field.

Up Next: Evans (18-9)

Plant City (21-6)

I have been really impressed with this Plant City squad who beat Plant 48-45 in a huge playoff win with a big-time performance coming from Gavin Tinslet who recorded 19 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals.

Up Next: Riverview Sarasota (17-9)
