The first weekend in February is here, meaning county tournament play is about to kick into high gear. The Cape-Atlantic League Tournament just dropped their schedule and it should be an exciting tournament to watch. Here are the guards to watch in the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411627' first='Jamir' last='McNeil'], 6'0 PG Middle Township 2025

McNeil has powered the Panthers' attack as he has run the offense efficiently throughout the season. The 6'0 guard has a tight handle, which he uses to blow by his defender and can finish in a variety of ways around the basket. McNeil plays with good floor vision as he threads passes to open teammates and rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure. He has the ability to play off the ball as well and plays tough on-ball defense. McNeil is a lanky, guard prospect who should continue to make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the month of February.

Charlie LaBarre, 5'11 PG Ocean City 2024

[player_tooltip player_id='2335553' first='Kori' last='Segich'] has been a scoring stalwart for the Red Raiders, but LaBarre has been a solid complementary scorer for them in 2023-24. The 5'11 guard is at his best attacking the basket as he finishes strong and is unafraid of drawing contact. LaBarre rarely forces shots in the halfcourt and also has the ability to play off the ball. He is an underrated passer and slides his feet on the defensive end. LaBarre has 13 double-digit games this season and should have more during the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='2339164' first='Khajuan' last='Roseborough'], 5'11 PG Atlantic City 2025

Roseborough has been on a scoring tear of late as he has four 20-point games in his last five. The 5'11 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finish around the basket. Roseborough can also score in the mid-range and shoots the ball with confidence. He has the ability to play off the ball as well and gets deflections on the defensive end. Roseborough is a tough, guard prospect whose ability to finish around the basket will help the Vikings in a big way over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1407095' first='Cohen' last='Cook'], 6'0 PG Mainland 2024

Cook has three 20-point games in his last three games, averaging 26.3 points per game in that span. The New Hampshire football commit attacks the basket strong as he can finish through contact and can finish above the rim. Cook knows how to get to his spot on the floor and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and works hard on the defensive end. Cook has 13 20-point games this season and will look to increase that number during the county tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1949287' first='Kenny' last='Smith'], 5'11 CG Hammonton 2025

Smith and [player_tooltip player_id='1051497' first='Azzir' last='Smith-Bey'] have been the top two guys for Hammonton this season and should continue to do so in the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament. The former has a nice release on his jumper as he wastes little motion and can knock down triples in bunches. Smith is more than just a shooter as he can also get to the basket off the bounce and finish through contact. He gets his teammates involved in the halfcourt and pushes the ball well in transition. Smith is a scoring guard prospect who should continue to light up the scoreboard over the next couple of weeks.

Other Prospects to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id='1919108' first='Macky' last='Bonner'], PG Lower Cape May 2024

Charles Jerkins, 6'1 SG Absegami 2024

Noah Plenn, 5'11 PG St. Augustine 2024

Charlie Dunner, SG Wildwood Catholic 2024

[player_tooltip player_id='1788762' first='Will' last='Spross'], 6'2 PG St. Joseph (Hamm) 2026
