The upcoming high school basketball season is right around the corner as tryouts are here. The 2027 class is primed to have a big mark on the hardwood this season, especially the unranked backcourt prospects. Here are the 2027 unranked shooting guard prospects to track.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406765' first='Milak' last='Myatt'], 6'4 Life Center Academy

Myatt reclassified into the 2027 class on his transfer into Life Center, making him unranked in the 2027 class. The 6'4 guard has a good first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and can finish strong above the rim. Myatt can also score in the mid-range and has the ability to make opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He pushes the pace well in transition and is an underrated passer. Myatt is an athletic guard prospect who should make plays on both ends of the floor throughout the winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2610671' first='Jalen' last='Mehu'], 6'5 Patrick School

Mehu has the potential to play either perimeter spot, making him an intriguing prospect to watch in the class. The 6'5 wing uses his handle to get into the paint and elevates for dunks around the rim. Mehu uses his size to see over his defender and rises up nicely on his jumper. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated rebounder. Mehu is a lanky wing prospect whose ability to finish around the rim and defend the ball will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

Harry Bissett, 5'11 Nottingham

Bissett will also get the opportunity to play on the ball, which will help his development this season. The 5'11 guard has a nice release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Bissett is more than just a shooter as he can also get into the paint off the dribble and rarely forces jumpers in the half court. He moves his feet on the defensive end and knows how to finish around the basket. Bissett's ability to stretch the floor is something that will help Nottingham win games throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2964629' first='Justin' last='Darkwa'], 6'2 St. Thomas Aquinas

Darkwa has the ability to have a big 2025-26 season as he should get more touches in the half court. The 6'2 guard has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim and is unafraid of drawing contact. Darkwa can also score in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He works hard on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. Darkwa is a tough guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2980796' first='Justin' last='Farber'], 6'1 Cherry Hill East

Farber is part of a talented Cougars' backcourt, but that won't stop him from making an impact this season. The 6'1 guard moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the half court. Farber sets his feet before he shoots and wastes little motion in his release. He slides his feet on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. Farber is a gritty guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor over the next couple of months.
