Carroll visited DeMatha on Wednesday for a WCAC battle against an opponent that they had not beaten since 2008. The visiting Lions jumped out to an early 20-16 lead at the end of the 1Q behind some high level play at both ends of the floor from senior F [player_tooltip player_id='2333673' first='Matar' last='Wade']. Sean Murphy and [player_tooltip player_id='2333672' first='Landry' last='Barbour'] chipping in with 7 points a piece to give Carroll a 33-30 lead heading into halftime. Freshman Carroll PG Daylen Bolding did a great job of getting the Lions out in transition and executing on the break to take a 49-40 lead in the 4Q. [player_tooltip player_id='1225262' first='Hassan' last='Dorman'] came to life in the 4Q, scoring 9 of his 21p on the night in the final period to solidify a 76-57 win for Carroll to move them to 15-9, 4-6 in WCAC play. The Lions will play Friendship Collegiate this afternoon looking to bounce back from a road loss to O'Connell. The Stags, dealing with 2 injured starters and in the midst of a 4-game losing streak, fell to 15-7, 5-3 in WCAC play. The Stags will host McNamara next Tuesday looking to bounce back from a 1-point loss to Good Counsel on the road.
