He’s starting and has been a consistent performer on one of NorCal’s top teams. Standing around 6’3, he’s a solid body with a good skill set. He works mostly off ball right now attacking openings with his dribble, and using strong finishes at the rim. Not a lot of wasted movement. He’s a good passer, court runner. We’ve seen hit short jumpers, and a few 3’s. He’ll work the boards, and defend.
He’s big, strong, moves well, looks a bit raw at first glance. He has the tools to takes his game to another level with continued skill development, right now he’s bouncing around the paint snatching rebounds, and defending aggressively while on the court. At other times we’ve seen him handle the ball up top and on the perimeter making it hard for defenders to keep him out of the paint. He could go higher.
He’s a do everything point guard for his team. He handles the ball up top running the offense. He’s a good passer with excellent vision, he’ll use his body, and dribble to penetrate the paint often. He can go into scoring mode, drop an occasional 3, hit paint jumpers and floaters, he can get to the basket from different angles, and finish strong in transition. He’s a top defender, good rebounder from the guard position. 13.6 ppg.
He’s a long versatile prospect. A good ball handler with vision and passing skills. He’s on the thin side but does help with rebounding, then pushing and passing up in transition. He’s got long range to knock down 3’s when he gets into scoring mode. He can use his dribble to get into the paint and finish with his length. He’s got some tools to be a bucket getter.
Perez is emerging as one of NorCal’s rising big men in this class. He’s got work to do, but we can see improvement since the beginning of the season. He’s showing more activity inside the paint going after blocks and rebounds. He has some presence on the defensive side. He’s a target in the low post using a dribble or two to back a defender down, then using the jump hook, he’s balancing himself, turning, and going up strong off two feet. He comes across the paint looking for the ball.
He’s a good size W/F who moves well on the court. He’s more of a wing right now roaming the perimeter looking to put up jump shots when he’s open, he has a good stroke from behind the arc. He can put it on the floor and drive it, he runs in transition. He has the size to go inside to get a bucket, he’ll help with the rebounding.
Highlights
He’s a versatile type prospect who can play inside/out, he runs the court, gets plenty of rebounds and can score inside. He has good size, and handles the ball well after rebounding pushing and passing in transition. He’ll use his dribble to attack the rim from different angles including the baseline and the top of the key. He has an improving jump shot, he’ll hit the short jumper. He Defends well.
He’s a growing prospect with a frame to fill, and a good skill set. He can play guard or work from the W/F positions on this team. He’s a bit streaky but can knock down jump shots. He has range for 3’s, and a dribble for the mid-range pull-up. He can take it to the basket off the dribble. He gives good effort on defense. Consistency is key for him.
