Whenever Clayton Valley needed points on the board, Ellis found away to get to the rim for a layup or he drew fouls consistently getting to the free-throw line and putting pressure on the defense.
He scored in a variety of ways. Ellis got to the basket whenever he wanted, knocked down outside shots, showed us a smooth lefty jump hook that looked nearly unblockable. His physicality, confidence, and versatility made him one of the most reliable scoring options on the floor.

He’s healthy with a solid frame to continue building muscle. He plays a good all around game. We see improved productivity around the basket, foot work and finishing, showing patience, handling contact. He has a good skill set, he sees and handles in the open courtwith good passing. He’ll use his dribble to generate points, short jumpers, drives to the basket. He’ll makes 3’s if left unattended. His productivity should go up this Spring.

He won’t stand out as a scorer, but what he does bring to the court is balance, and steady play. Standing 6’3 he has a versatile skill set, he has handles, vision, with good passing, and patience to run point. He can use his dribble for drives along the perimeter, including a pull up jumper he can hit from mid-range. He has range to drop 3’s around the perimeter. He defends and rebounds.

He’s a growing prospect with a frame to fill, and a good skill set. He can play guard or work from the W/F positions on this team. He’s a bit streaky but can knock down jump shots. He has range for 3’s, and a dribble for the mid-range pull-up. He can take it to the basket off the dribble. He gives good effort on defense. Consistency is key for him.
