Cannon Simpson Cannon Simpson 6'5" | SF Clayton Valley Charter | 2026 State CA-N is a big 6’6 guard with a versatile skill set that jumps off the floor the moment you watch him. He makes good decisions with the ball, rebounds well for his position, and pushes the break in transition with purpose. Defensively, he was active all game — getting his hands on passes and disrupting Clovis North’s rhythm by jumping lanes.
Even though only a couple of his shots fell in that matchup, his overall skill set still stood out. The very next day, Simpson showed why he’s one of the most intriguing prospects in the event — delivering one of the top highlights of the entire NorCal Showcase. In a half-court set, he drove left from the top of the key and flushed a two-hand dunk off his right foot, a big-time athletic play in traffic.

An experienced prospect that shows a versatile type of game. A wiry 6’5 wing that works along the perimeter making good passes, he’s a ball mover, makes moves without the ball, back door cuts, hand offs, uses a dribble or two getting to the rim for finishes. He spots up for corner 3’s, can drive the baseline. He has some post play production with lengthy arms, and decent foot work to score around the basket. He helps with the rebounding, can defend multiple positions.

He has improved his play away from the basket, using improved handles to attack from the corners, get into the paint and finish with a jumper, or at the rim. He’s a ball mover at the top looking for cutters, reversing the ball. He’ll shoot the free throw jumper, drive from the top, he has 3pt range. He’s rebounding, and giving good effort defending.

A long wing forward played well towards the last half of the season. We saw improved dribble drives with balance, and strides from the corners, and perimeter, A kick out or getting it closer to the rim. He’s finish inside with length and extra effort. We saw a short corner jumper, and corner 3’s. His production, and numbers should tick up.
