Tuesday Night Terrific
Bradon Wallace Bradon Wallace 6'3" | SG Wilton-Wing | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’2 G| Wilton-Wing
He is slim but has long arms. Wallace looked good catching in the paint and finishing in traffic. He impressed me with a shot fake, this got the D out of position and Bradon went up for the bucket. He showed an effective cross-over, a quick pull-up J, good hands, and craftiness. Bradon grabbed O-boards for extra possessions and he produced points with a breakaway steal-n-score.
Brant Wassenaar Brant Wassenaar 6'3" | SG Sioux Falls Christian | 2027 State SD (2027) |6’3 G/SF| Sioux Falls Christian
14 points. He is ranked #1 in the 2027 Class for a reason. Brant does not move or play like a 9th grader. He is aggressive, has great body control, and is a diverse scorer. He first stuck out with a crafty finish on a BLOB, he set it up with a sharp cut. He had no trouble scoring around the basket amongst the Trojan trees. He slashed for scores and he tallied an AND1. Wassenaar showed a beautiful floater from mid-lane, and a reverse layup in the second half that showcased his craftiness and skill. Brant got his hands on passes and he created a TO when tipping the ball from behind a dribbler. He guarded bigger older players on D and never backed down.
Carson Nickles Carson Nickles 6'1" | CG Sioux Falls Christian | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’1 G| Sioux Falls Christian
7 points. Carson showed that he can score inside and out. His outside J looked good as always and he produced an impressive transition bucket. Carson had defenders on him, somehow he got to the rim, got the shot off over outstretched arms, and kissed it off the glass for the touch score. I thought he held his own and looked good. Nickles has all the tools.
Carter Tetzlaff Carter Tetzlaff 6'0" | SG West Central | 2025 State SD (2025) |6’0 G| West Central
6 points and 2 triples. He did his damage from beyond the arc while knocking down two three-pointers.
Cole Snyder Cole Snyder 6'0" | CG Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD (2025) |6’0 G| Sioux Falls Christian
8 points. He showed great anticipation, reaction time, and spatial awareness. Snyder racked up multiple TO’s and steals, he is a clever defender. He got buckets via a steal-n-score, a slash-n-score, and a jab-n-slash-score. Cole has a deadly first step and he can produce after contact. He had an impressive cut on a BLOB that led to a bucket. He showed off his quick hands with a steal and dish to Wassenaar. Snyder had another heady play where he saved the ball off a West Central player which gave the Chargers an extra possession. Cole is a skilled and smart baller.
Connor Mebius Connor Mebius 5'8" | PG West Central | 2027 State SD (2027) |5’8 G| West Central
12 points and 3 triples. From what I saw, the star freshman point guard was the quickest player on the court. Unfortunately, Connor picked up two early fouls and had to ride the pine for an extended period of time. When attacking off the dribble, I was very impressed with his change of speed, ball skills, and use of angles to cut off defenders. His 3-point shot is accurate and his release is quick. Mebius showed his shooting early in the game, he hit a 3 to start the Trojan scoring. He hit another 3-pointer in the second half with a defender in his face. Connor used a nifty fake to get an inch, he pulled the trigger, and splashed the triple. The 9th grader also impressed me with a slash into the heart of the defense, he drew help and threaded a bounce pass to Heier for 2pts. He also caught my eye with some slick attacking, splitting 2 defenders to create space, and scoring an AND1 bucket. This young Trojan has a BRIGHT future.
Cooper Goodbary Cooper Goodbary 6'3" | SG Sioux Falls Christian | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’3 G/SF| Sioux Falls Christian
11 points. It looks like Cooper has lengthened out since the spring/summer and he will likely keep sprouting up. The young lefty plays mature beyond his years. Goodbary stuck out to me as an opportunistic scorer and he did not force shots, he took what was given to him. Cooper got the Chargers on the scoreboard with an O-board stick-back and he scored other points inside the arc. He showed his shooting ability with a triple in the 3rd quarter. There is a ton of upside in Cooper’s game.
Crew Heier Crew Heier 6'4" | SF West Central | 2024 SD (2023) |6’4 F| West Central
19 points. He is a D1 football commit and Crew certainly looked the part. He is strong, tough, and physical. Heier scored in the paint and from beyond the arc. He showed off a beautiful jump hook around the hoop and he knocked hit baseline & 3-point jump shots. I liked the looks of his feet and his moves on the block. He scored multiple buckets against a 6’10” defender.
Dontaye Fetzer Dontaye Fetzer 6'0" | SG Wilton-Wing | 2025 State ND (2025) |6’0 G| Wilton-Wing
He is an athletic lefty and a playmaker. Dontaye is an aggressive slasher who covers a ton of ground in a short amount of time. The Miners like to run a dribble weave and he makes that off of that. Fetzer excels at getting into the paint & to the rim. He draws contact and gets to the FT-line. Fetzer also cashed in from beyond the arc on multiple occasions, he can hit the triple off the dribble and catch.
Garrett Bergquist (2024) |6’3 F| Wilton-Wing
He is another Miner with long arms. I have not seen the stats yet but it sure seemed like Bergquist was at the charity stripe often. He is a timely player who moves well without the ball and has good hands. Garrett scored multiple buckets in and around the paint. He is a nice complimentary player to the Miners guards.
Griffen Goodbary Griffen Goodbary 6'10" | PF Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD (2025) |6’10 PF| Sioux Falls Christian
9 points. It is rare to see a kid with the length and mobility that Goodbary has. The intriguing prospect had two 2-handed dunks in the second half. He erased shots at the rim and changed many more. Right before halftime, Griffen grabbed an O-board and heaved up a shot from mid-range, and it went down as the buzzer sounded. College coaches must be drooling when they see all of Goodbary’s potential.
Hunter Wolff Hunter Wolff 5'10" | CG Wilton-Wing | 2025 State ND (2025) |5’10 G| Wilton-Wing
He was very effective from beyond the arc last night, Wolf cashed in a handful of triples. He has a quick trigger and a nice-looking pull-up game. Hunter is smooth in the catch-n-shoot game and is sneaky/smart about finding enough room to get his shot off.
Jake Kuhl Jake Kuhl 7'0" | C West Central | 2024 State SD (2024) |7’0 C| West Central
He did not score a basket but Jake still had an impact on the game. Mr. Kuhl blocked, swatted, and altered several shots. He also had a big impact on the game with his rebounding. Jake cleaned up the boards, especially on the defensive end. Kuhl limited the Chargers to one-and-done on many possessions and that helped keep the game close in my opinion. I love how he highpoints the ball and keeps it high until the area is cleared. Impact players do not always have to score big points.
Jaran Reinhardt Jaran Reinhardt 6'2" | SG Hazen | 2026 State ND (2026) |6’2 G| Hazen
11 points. I like the looks of this sophs game, he has potential. Reinhardt scored the first bucket of the game with a slash down the lane, he scored with a finger-roll over the front of the rim. Right after that on D, Jaran blocked a shot and on the second offensive possession of the game, he put up points via slash-n-score. Reinhardt looked effective slashing and weaving off the bounce. With his length, frame, and slashing, he could turn into a nice player.
Jude vanDonkersgoed Jude vanDonkersgoed 6'2" | PG Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD (2025) |6’2 G| Sioux Falls Christian
9 points and at least 2 triples. Jude is a good-sized lefty guard with mobility and skill. In the first half, he drilled two triples from the left wing. Jude created multiple turnovers by intercepting a pass in the press and he grabbed another opportunistic steal. He had an impressive slash-n-score when coming off a pick-n-roll, he had no trouble scoring with two defenders in his face. vanDonkersgoed is definitely a stock riser!
Keaton Batke Keaton Batke 5'11" | CG Hazen | 2027 State ND (2027) |5’11 G| Hazen
15 points. He looks to be a dangerous offensive threat that can produce from every level. Batke showed good feet and a smooth/effortless shot when knocking down perimeter shots. Keaton looked good/effective slashing to his left. I was impressed with how he moved without the ball and reacted to the defense.
Mark Lora Mark Lora 5'11" | SG Hazen | 2025 State ND (2025) |5’11 G/F| Hazen
He is a good athlete who made multiple positive plays for the Bison. Lora is a quick jumper with good hands. He scored in transition, with a mid-range pull-up, and a catch-n-score at the cup. He grabbed multiple O-boards and athletically erased a shot that would have been 2-points. He can score with both hands around the hoop and is an active/aggressive player.
Paden Schulte (2024) |6’2 G| West Central
6 points. He stuck out with an athletic slash-n-score. He also put up points with steal that he took coast-to-coast for a score. Schulte had a nifty move when slashing, he faked the spin move, fooled the D, and went in for the easy score.
Teigen Earsley Teigen Earsley 5'11" | CG Wilton-Wing | 2025 State ND (2025) |5’11 G| Wilton-Wing
I like this kid’s game, he is crafty, smart, clever, and sneaky. Teigen is effective in the dribble weave, keeps defenders off balance, and seems to use angles to advantage. He showed good vision and dished multiple assists. Earsley showed a pure jump shot when knocked down a J from 10-feet over a defender. He is sneaky quick and reacts well to the defense. Teigen can score from all levels. He had a clutch AND1 late in the game to help hold off the Bison comeback.
Trevin Price Trevin Price 6'1" | SG West Central | 2024 State SD (2024) |6’1 G| West Central
3 points and 1 triple. He made plays as a hustler and he got his hands on loose balls and tips. Price also hit a huge 3-pointer right before halftime. He let the shot fly from beyond halfcourt, sure enough, he got it off before the buzzer sounded, and it went down.
Tyson Wick Tyson Wick 6'2" | PG Hazen | 2024 State ND (2024) |6’2 G| Hazen
30 points. In Tyson’s last three games, he has went for 27/24/30 points. This kid is tough, that’s for sure! Wick is obviously a scorer but he is also a creator. I was impressed with his skill, Wick threw an underhand pass off the dribble in traffic and he has all of the dribble moves that you could ask for. He found players for good looks but also made the easy pass when needed. At one point, Tyson was slashing, the D stepped up with 2 defenders, instead of forcing, he kicked to a shooter for a wide-open triple. Tyson drilled numerous 3-pointers with his buttery-smooth shot. He has a quick release and he can get it off in tight spaces. He scored with an O-board putback, off turnovers (steals), catch-n-shoot J’s, pull-ups, transition buckets, jab-step 3, step-through in the paint, a soft floater/runner, by splitting a double team off a PNR, and athletically at the rim. Wick can do it all and he makes it look good.
Will Kuhl Will Kuhl 6'8" | PF West Central | 2026 State SD (2026) |6’8 PF| West Central
6 points and 2 triples. This soph certainly has a high ceiling. Kuhl is lanky and mobile. He can stretch the floor for triples, grab O-boards, and block shots. He also showed off his hops when driving down the baseline. He missed the dunk but the elevation was impressive. Kuhl actually got a technical foul for hanging on the rim. However, it looked like a bad call to me, there was an opponent underneath him, and it seemed like he held on until the player cleared below.
