I caught Meade-Moss at the Midwest Basketball Club Fall league in Cincinnati and he impressed me with his creation ability. Fast forward to the winter and he leads Lakota West in scoring at 9.1 PPG and had a season high 21 points in a win over Withrow to open the season. With his ability to create his own shot with his burst, handle and perimeter shooting ability, Meade-Moss has been one of the breakout players in southwest Ohio this winter.
We scouted Duncan at the NEO Youth Elite Christmas Classic where the wing guard caught fire for Euclid from 3-point range in an impressive win. Click here for the full breakdown of that game. Duncan cracks our list due to his athleticism, shooting and size from the off guard position. Duncan scored 33 points in a loss to Brunswick early in the year, showing his explosive scoring potential. A name to watch in northeast Ohio’s 2025 class.

French came to the Prep Hoops 250 Expo and got buckets from downtown. That’s what he does best as he’s already connected on 23 3-pointers for Miami Valley Christian Academy after making 70 as a Sophomore. His scoring is also up from his Sophomore season and his team is 5-4 and on pace to beat their 8-17 mark they had last season. French is a small school prospect with big time shooting ability from southwest Ohio.
Another prospect who got onto my radar from the Midwest Basketball Club Fall League, this time it was the Columbus league that brings us our next new name. Johnson had a strong spring putting up big time scoring and assist numbers and transferring from Olentangy Liberty to Bishop Watterson has allowed him to step into a primary role with multiple double-digit scoring games already this season. I’ll be curious to see how Watterson fares in the second half of the season with a handful of games coming up in the competitive CCL.

Holy Name was a team I caught early in the season and Styers popped as a big time shooter and impressive athlete. With a couple breakaway dunks last week against Valley Forge, you are starting to see what Styers can do in the open court. Scoring 26 points that night, it seems like Styers is starting to hit his stride this season. Styers also won game MVP in the East Vs West Challenge when Holy Name defeated Gilmour in mid December.
